“Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.” ~Mother Teresa A V O ID E Y E S TR A IN Staring at your computer monitor all day or doing repetitive, close work may contribute to eyestrain and nearsightedness. The solution is to exercise your eyes. Two ways to do this: The eye roll. Without moving your head, roll your eyes in a circle by looking up as far as you can, then right, the down, then left, then up again. Repeat three times in each direction. This will strengthen and stretch eye muscles.
The quick focus. Hold a pencil 12 inches away from your eyes. Focus on it, then s-l-o-w-l-y bring it to your nose until it begins to blur. Then look at a far-off object until your eyes bring it into focus. Repeat this 10 times and you will boost your ability to switch focus between near and far.
