HOW-TO GUIDE Creating Survey Drawings 1. Start a new drawing using the template and set a scale for the plan that will approximately cover your drawing size. There are currently no templates set up for this specific task: some setup items will have to be changed. 2. Drawing Setup: Type at the command prompt in the new drawing. From the Units dialog box set the Length, Angle and Area to match the dialog box below and check that the other noted items are correct.
3. Pick the Dimension toolbar dropdown box and select the appropriate style to match the drawing scale that you set up in step 1 above. 4. Entering Coordinates: Always start at 0,0,0 and enter the coordinates form the Legal description in the format shown below. Property lines belong on layer .
