CAMPBELL Rotary W W W . C A M P B E L L R O T A R Y. O R G

CHARTERED FEB., 1948

z Thank You Note From a Mom z “Thank you very much for your generous donation of A’s tickets to our family. I have a household full of boys that not only enjoy watching baseball, but play on Spring and Fall teams as well. We look forward to spending a fun-filled day at the ball par! Go A’s.”

Blood Drive Huge Success! Another record setting effort for the Rotary Club of Campbell’s 9-11 Memorial Blood Drive! Blood Drive Chair, Jerry Cummings, announced that our annual blood drive netted 59 units of blood for the American Red Cross. Last year we generated over 50 units for the first time, and this year we topped that effort. Members Sue Klear, Sam Krow-Lucal, Neil Reed, Bob Yager, Jerry Cummings, Neil Jacobson and Bill Ellington all contributed from the heart--literally.

Coming Events

Sept. 14: Dinner Service @ EHC, 4:30 PM

(Ellington’s photo showing the cash was posed for comic effect only--the Red Cross does not pay for blood donations.)

The mobil crew from the Red Cross arrived at EMQ last Friday early in the morning to get their stations set up and ready to go. Donations went from 11:00 to 5:00 PM. Janine Payton and John Shannon helped out a bit in the “canteen” while Bill Highley dropped by to take some photos and provide positive moral support. A big thanks goes to EMQ and Robinson Oil staff members who donated blood. Sept. 19: Fun & Fitness @ Campbell Park, 8:30 AM Sept. 21: Board Meeting, 5:30 @ Hickory Pit Oct. 3: Child Advocates’ Picnic
