LEARNING SCENARIO T : Teacher S : Student

Pre-Stage T : Good afternoon students S : Good afternoon sir T : How are you today ? S : I am fine, and how are you sir ? T : I am fine too, thank you T : Before we start the lesson, let’s say a prayer together. Juhyan, will you lead the prayer, please? Juhyan : Yes sir, let’s say a prayer together. (teacher and students pray according to their respective beliefs). Finish. Say greeting to teacher. S : Assalamualaikum sir T: Walaikumsalam T : ok let’s check your attendance students. Who is absent today? S : Nothing sir T : Let’s start the lesson. Are you ready everyone ? S : Ready sir T : Ok students, today we will discuss about basic chemical law. The basic chemical laws of there are 5 namely Mass conservation law, fixed comparison law, multiple comparison law, volume comparison law, law of avogadro. But we will limit on Mass conservation law T : at the end of this session, you’ll be able to analyze data and conclude the law of conservation of mass

T : The benefit of the lesson is that will provide instructions on how to calculate chemistry which includes the relationship between the number of moles, the number of particles, the mass and volume of the substances that react.

Mains Stage T : What happens if we take an iron at the outdoor ? does it rust ?

S : Yes sir

T : if it rusts, whether the iron mass before and after the oxidation reaction is the same ?

Eces : (raise her hand) same sir

T : why same eces ?

Eces : because iron reacts with oxygen to produce iron oxide T : right eces. So students the oxidation reaction is 4Fe + 3O2  2Fe2O3 (write oxidation reaction in whiteboard) example mass of Fe is 6 grams and oxigen is 18 grams cartainly mass of Fe2O3 is 24 grams. So this describes the lavoiser law which sounds that the substance before and after the reaction is the same.

T : do you understand students ?

S : yes sir

T : ok more example, this is table of mass ratio of hydrogen and oxygen in the formation of water compounds. (write table) Substance Mass Before Reaction

Substance Mass Reaction

Hydrogen Mass

Oxigen Mass

T : Let see the mass of hydrogen 1 plus the mass of oxygen 8 so the mass of water is 9 and etc. from this data the reaction shows that the mass of the substance before the reaction equals the mass of the substance after the reaction and is known as the law of conservation of mass or often called the law of Lavoiser.

T : okay student I will grouping you into 4 groups.

S : (form groups based on the nearest seat)

T : allright students ? I will give you worksheet, you have to do it by group. I give time to work on 8 minutes. (distribute worksheet to each groups) before you answer worksheet you must watch the videos until finish because in video you will found clue to answer.

S : okay sir (students watch videos) T : okay student let’s check the results of the worksheet.

T : who answer number 1 ? S : (silence) T : okay group 1 the answer is ..... Group 1 : what are the reactants and one of the products produced from the video ? the reactants is CH3COOH and NaHCO3 product is CH3COONa and CO2 and H2O. reactions equations is NaHCO3(s) + CH3COOH(aq) → CH3COONa(aq) + CO2(g) + H2O(l). T : right thats good, do you have any opinion ? S : (silence) T : ok the next question, number 2 group 2 please answer.

Group 2 : What is the mass before the reaction and mass after there action made in the video? Mass before reaction is 179 grams and Mass after reaction is 179 grams

T : ok right, give applause to group 2 T : oke number 3, group 3

Group 3 : After carbon dioxide gas is removed from the bottle, is the mass after the reaction reduced? Yes, How many grams is reduced? 2 grams

T : right, give applause to group 3. Ok the last question group 4 answer number 4

Group 4 : From the experiments and questions above, what can you conclude? The conclude is the mass of the substance before the reaction and the mass of the substance after the reaction is same.

T : ok thats good give applause to goup 4. So this is sounds of Lavoiser Law. Do you understand students ?

S : yes sir

Post Stage T : Because all of you understand, I give you post test. Please close your books. Please sit on every other chair. Everyone, please spread your seats. Do it by your self. No. cheating. (give post test to students) I give you time 5 minute to do post test.

S : okay sir. T : (arround to see students work) well, 1 more minutes. Time is up. Stop working, collect your work, please. S : (collecting post test) T : so far, what was the topic about ? S : The Law of Conservation of Mass.

T : okay let’s summarize the lesson. What is the sound of the law of conservation of mass ? Kartika : Law of conservation of mass sounds that “the mass of the substance before the reaction and the mass of the substance after the reaction is same”.

T : Right Kartika, do you have any opinion students ?

S : (Silence) T : All right everyone. It’s time to end the end the lesson now. For homework please you read about Proust Law. I hoped you enjoyed the lesson. Juhyan, will you lead the prayer, please? Juhyan : Yes sir, let’s say a prayer together. (teacher and students pray according to their respective beliefs). Finish. Say greeting to teacher S : Assalamualaikum sir T : Walaikumsalam.
