DISCUSSION
Definition Breast abscess is a dump pus, usually due to a bacterial infection. If bacteria infiltrate into heal thy tissue, then infection will occured. Some cells die and broken leaving. The cavities that is contai ning tissues and infected cells. The white blood cells which are the body's defenses , move into the cavity. after ingesting the bacteria, the white blood cells will die. This white blood cell that fills the cavity then.
Cause Breast infections are usually caused by bacteria commonly found in normal skin. Bacteria often come from the baby's mouth and into the ducts through skin rupture or cracks (usually on the nipple). Abscesses usually occur in women who breast feed and most commonly occur within 1-3 months after delivery. About 1-3% of breastfeeding women experience mastitis in the first few weeks after delivery. In postmenopausal women, breast infection is associated with chronic inflammation of the milk ducts located beneath the nipple. Hormonal changes in the female body cause blockage of ducts by dead skin cells. This blocked channel causes the breast to become mo re susceptible to infection.
A bacterial infection can cause an abscess through several ways: 1. Bacteria enter the skin from the wound from a non sterile needle prick. 2. Bacteria spread from an infection to other parts of the body. 3. Bacteria that under normal circumstances, live in the human body and do not cause interference, can sometimes cause the formation of an abscess. Opportunities for an abscess will increase if: 1. There are dirt or foreign matter in the area where the infection occurred. 2. The infected area gets less blood flow. 3. There is a disorder of the immune system.
