Course 19 – 20 October / Examination 23 October, 2009 Suva, Fiji BCM-400 is a 2.5 day advanced level Business Continuity Management (BCM) course. It is primarily designed and developed to instill the detailed concepts and knowledge of BCP, which will enable and empower the individuals to drive BCM programs and BC projects for the entire organization. This course is structured to develop and enhance training for BC managers, planners and project managers. Course Overview This course will provide participants with the concept and knowledge of BCM, which will enable them to: - Drive organizational-wide BCM programs effectively - Develop business continuity and recovery strategies - Develop and implement comprehensive BC plans - Create and develop BCM awareness and training programs - Conduct tests and exercises to ensure efficiency - implement BCM audit and assessment programs to ensure BC plan effectiveness

Course Key Benefits At the end of this course the participants’ skills, knowledge and confidence will be greatly enhanced to develop and implement organizational-wide BC plans, tests and exercises. They will be successful leaders equipped with skills to guide and lead their departments or business units to corporate level BCM implementation, execution and evaluation of BC plans periodically. The individuals are fully trained and will be able to manage a full organizational-wide BC awareness plans and development. Additionally, they will be able to incorporate the importance of the BCM for all department managers, BC planners and managers, BU coordinators, to further enhance their skills and knowledge tasked towards the BC responsibilities of an organization.

Who Should Attend This course is designed for advanced BC Managers and Planners, key BC Personnel and Managers who are required to drive corporate level BCM programs and BCP plans. A minimum of 2 years relevant BCM experience is preferred in order to adequately participate in this course.

Instructors / Training Focus Our BCM Institute certified instructors are experts in their field of Business Continuity Management and have been in the industry a minimum of 15 years. Our approach is to train in an interactive environment where experience and learnings are shared openly. Participants are requested to actively participate in discussions and workshops.

Pre-requisites and Certification Participants are expected to be capable of demonstrating suitable BCM experience for a course of this nature. This will allow participants to actively participate in each session and contribute openly to discussion surrounding current issues and case studies. Participants who successfully pass the online examination at the completion of the course will be able to apply for certification as Business Continuity Certified Experts (BCCE).

Cancellation Policy All bookings carry a 30% liability on receipt of full payment. Refunds will not be provided for cancellations advised within 7 days of the scheduled course start date, however registration can be transferred to another BCM-I course. Registered participants are welcome to substitute at any time without penalty. Please advise BCM-I of this change prior to course commencement so we may correctly record attendance and certification if applicable.
