A very fast paced course, it is designed for individuals experienced in IT DR planning. This compressed course leads participants through the entire BC and DR planning process focusing on IT DR planning and project management. Participants will be equipped with the essential skills to recover information technology (IT) and telecommunications components and environments including IT systems, data, applications and services. The workshop will feature a globally recognized and industry-proven step-by-step methodology of IT DRP core concepts, principal elements, international guidelines and standards, implementation and maintenance of IT DRP programs. Course Overview The course offers comprehensive, disaster recovery and emergency response preparedness training designed to arm the key person with adequate knowledge and skills to protect the organization and its assets in time of disaster. Participants will acquire the skills and understanding required to drive a full spectrum of complex IT DRP programs and projects for the entire organization, effectively plan, guide, coordinate tasks and activities, and manage IT DRP plans and projects, gain exposure to address challenges and complexities associated with managing IT DRP project or program. This course will provide participants with the detailed concepts, skills and knowledge to: - Understand IT DRP Life Cycle Program Management - Develop DR plans; initial implementation and notification, design and planning, disaster declaration and escalation, recovery and resumption strategies, maintenance, execution and normalization - Develop, define and implement IT DRP policies - Identify possible threats, existing vulnerabilities, risks exposure and impacts that may disrupt critical business IT functions in the organization and develop recovery strategies - Develop IT risk management methods, risk control costs, risk control decision and reporting - Strengthen IT DRP Resiliency concepts, model, strategy and management to minimize impacts and losses - Create and validate IT DPR plans through conducting periodic tests and exercises – test plan contents, types of testing methods, to ensure IT DRP plan effectiveness - Manage effective IT DRP plans and programs, change management on an ongoing basis - Ensure effective programme management on an ongoing basis

Who Should Attend This course is designed for advanced professionals operating in the Private & Government sectors, who have a high degree of exposure and responsibility for IT DRP. It is suitable for IT Communications Managers and Planners, IT Project Managers, planners, & coordinators, senior BC and IT management and executives , Human Resource managers, Security and Emergency Response managers, Risk and Compliance department managers.

Pre-requisites and Certification Participants are expected to be capable of demonstrating suitable IT DRP experience for a course of this nature. This will allow participants to actively participate in each session and contribute openly to discussion surrounding current issues and case studies. Participants who successfully pass the online examination at the completion of the course will be able to apply for certification as a Disaster Recovery Certified Expert (DRCE).
