Thriving To Do Our Best McKendree has always housed a church child care, but 2009 sees this ministry claiming God’s Word, a new name, and a renewed emphasis - by Laura Padgett & Elaine Shelton “Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.” – Psalm 92:13 Our church is blessed with many pregnant mothers, babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. These young children need our help to give them a firm foundation on God and let them thrive in Christ through our nursery and preschool ministries.
- Refine curriculum for nursery and preschool educational programs - Update finishes and furnishings in nursery and preschool rooms
We need not only your prayers but also your spiritual, physical, & financial support to accomplish these goals for the children. The first scheduled event is the Thrive Book Drive on March 15th. Please cut out the flyer below this article and put it in a place where you will Here are our immediate goals: be reminded to pray and participate - Expand library of Christ-centered in this event. and themed educational books Thank you for your prayers and - Purchase new craft materials, support! activities and puzzles

This is the logo for the newly named Thrive Ministry. You will soon see new logo’s popping up all over to denote all of McKendree’s thriving ministries! The idea behind this design is consistent with John 15:5. We call our ministries “Branches,” and the glowing circular pattern is intended to simulate bright and colorful fruit. Each ministry’s logo will feature a distinct color to fill the many branches at McKendree!
