GODUTO had few discussions about religion with ATTA and ALSHEHHI. GODUTO knew that both men were devout Muslims. GODUTO recalled a time when AZZAN ALI, another Muslim student at Huffman, had told her that he was going out drinking. GODUTO suggested to ATTA and ALSHEHHI that they go with ALL ATTA and ALSHEHHI responded that they would never consider going drinking because it was against the Muslim religion. Once they received their instrument certification, ATTA and ALSHEHHI began frequently renting aircraft at night. Students who wanted to rent a plane after normal hours, could sign out a plane and pick up the packet for that plane. They could then return whenever they wanted to take their flight. GODUTO heard from security personnel that ATTA and ALSHEHHI would often return to the airport at 2:00 a.m. or 3:00 a.m. GODUTO advised that the plane would have four or five hours of flying time registered. GODUTO believes that ATTA and ALSHEHHI might have taken the plane to the east coast of Florida.
