Mom Possibilities How cute would it be to stitch this on a onesie or bib for a new baby! Or stitch it on your own jacket and change the letters to say “Me.” Ha! The alphabet on page 108 lets you replace “Mom” with any word. This might be funky in all metallic threads, too.

Truths

Important Stuff

One of the reasons this design came about is my son Myles. It’s so interesting to me how having a child has changed my thought processes. To me this is probably the most obvious tattoo . . . ever synonymous with sailors.

Fabric Waste Canvas, 12 count: 6" (15 cm) wide by 9" (23 cm) high.

Thread DMC 6-strand Cotton Floss: 312 Very

Finishing

Dark Baby Blue, 3708 Light Melon,

Pin and baste waste canvas to garment, being sure to skew it a bit so it’s not entirely straight. After stitching, wash the garment with the waste canvas still attached, then pull out the waste threads one by one as described on page 9 before drying the garment.

mom [mom] noun 1. informal for mother 2. an honor bestowed up on women who have a great deal of patience and the ability to juggle twenty things at once!

3756 Ultra Very Light Baby Blue.

Stitch Density 4 strands of thread over 2-by-2 group of canvas threads.

Stitch Count 77 wide by 42 high.

Design Size 6½" (16.5 cm) wide by 3½" (9 cm) high.

Extras Denim jacket. Note: Use a sharp needle for this project.
