Introduction – CAACURH (in essence is a big prep rally that guides you to become a better leader, at Stephenson MA, 3hrs 9 min away, will update on prices when they are posted on the website), attending must be RHA president & NCC & advisor iv. NRHH – trying to advertise, application process in place instead of induction nominations
Old Business i. RHA Rep to Senate, Senate meets Wednesdays during common hours a. Should we strongly encourage the Senator at large to come to RHA meetings 1. RHA Prez will meet with Senate Prez to encourage communication through the senator at large 2. amendment can be proposed to create an RHA representative to Senate or enforce more strictly the Senator at large coming to RHA meetings New Business i. “Surviving a Bad Common” – Kati a. Was not voted on because no member of the program proposed was present ii. Precedent – At least one member of the proposed issue must be present at the meeting that the proposal is being proposed iii. “Fast for a Day” / “Arabian Nights” – Quaison / Wali a. Was not voted on because no proposal was actually presented (in paper form) regarding budget breakdown and clear purpose of program b. Very good program ideas c. Encouraged to return next week with proposals d. Waived requirement in Article VII Section 1 – “Proposals for funding must be presented in writing at an RHA meeting taking place at least one week in advance for the proposed event.” By 2/3 majority vote of RHA general body Open Floor and Services Issues i. Redwood has leaking ceilings because of the air condition, proposed to make a RHA “follow up group” to make sure that HBAC is fixing faulty air conditions, Ken volunteers to lead the group, Laurel also reported some similar problems during the summer, not sure if they were fixed a. Update (Ken) – issue was brought up during Redwood Staff Meeting, Redwood is compiling a list of rooms that have problems with leaking and give to RC ii. GDS a. Lack of sufficient Silverware b. Lack of food during the weekends c. Price difference between times that buffet is available and times it is not d. Salad bar contents is sometimes still frozen e. Hot dog problem (Friday 9/26/08) f.
