Introduction i. Called to order at 11:43am Approved Minutes Reports i. President a. Club Fair – Wednesday, September 10, 2008, 46 people signed up ii. Vice President a. Program Timeline – has a list of contacts that would help for planning a program including what equipment that could be borrowed, from whom, etc. iii. National Communication Coordinator a. Introduction – CAACURH (in essence is a big prep rally that guides you to become a better leader, at Stephenson MA, 3hrs 9 min away, will update on prices when they are posted on the website), No Frills iv. Treasurer a. Budget was reformatted v. Public Relations Officer a. Going Green – RHA Go Green Logos displayed napkin holders in the GDS cafeteria b. Website updated – NY Anime Festival info with Katie’s email address vi. Senate vii. Hall Council Representatives – Elections Wednesday (September 17), still taking nominations up until Tuesday, September 16 12:00am a. Redwood b. Cypress c. Laurel d. Oak viii. RA Representatives a. Redwood b. Cypress – Kati, Room Change Meeting 2:30 – 4:00pm Wednesday (9/17/08) Cypress Kitchen Lounge, Tech Games this weekend, Branch Brook Park clean up, room inspections September 30, last day to purchase Dorney Park tickets c. Laurel – Jackie, Tuesday September 29 = Game Night (Laurel TV Lounge), Tuesday 9/29 = “Cramming with Cookies” (CAPE), 9/15 = “Interns for Hire”, 9/22 = “Heroes Mania”, 9/28 = “Caramel Apple” making, 9/23 = CAPE study session, 9/24 = “Halo”/leadership resume, 9/25 = macro review d. President Introduction – Food Committee, Programming Committee (meeting Thursday, 9/18, 8:00pm Cypress 114), Fundraising Committee b. BGA c. NRHH Old Business New Business i. BGA Equipment Proposal – Jimmy O’Brien a. Asking for $639.95 for Rock Band 2 Bundle, Nintendo Wii, DDR Pads, Play Station 2 version of DDR Super Nova 2 b. will store equipment in BGA office / E-Board member rooms c. BGA needs equipment because the equipment they are using now is lent to them by members, Jimmy owner of most systems used by BGA is graduation at the end of academic year ii. Precedent – Voting on Proposals are confined to the paper, no changes can be made during the proposal and voting process itself. iii. Representatives - Ken a. Instead of Committees (such as food committee), ONE person to voice RHA/ resident concerns about everything (i.e. to Fishbach – food suggestions, Sandy – large scale maintenance issues) so that there is a constant contact person for everything b. RHA representative to attend Senate meetings c. tabled Open Floor and Services Issues i. Redwood has leaking ceilings because of the air condition, proposed to make a RHA “follow up group” to make sure that HBAC is fixing faulty air conditions, Ken volunteers to lead the group, Laurel also reported some similar problems during the summer, not sure if they were fixed a. Update (Ken) – issue was brought up during Redwood Staff Meeting, Redwood is compiling a list of rooms that have problems with leaking and give to RC ii. GDS a. Steamed Vegetables Stations – produce is not changed often enough, lots of flies, veggies are wilted b. Under Staffed During Common hours – 2 people at a station during peak hours, very long lines c. Kosher oriented eaters cannot have meat and cheese together, perhaps give them more of a variety of foods in the buffet area d. Onion Rings Kudos and Shout Outs i. Everyone – great attendance ii. Productive meeting iii. E-Board iv. Mike Jackie (aka back table) – participating v. New people – attending vi. Karen – being Karen Announcements i. NY Anime Festival September 26 – email [email protected] – half price tickets sold out, $37 per ticket ii. Hall Council Elections on Wednesday September 17 iii.
