Led by Senior Pastor Hayes Wicker and Senior Associate Pastor Forrest Head, this is a very informative dinner seminar for those who are new to First Baptist Church Naples, those who want to join the church, or those who would like more information about our church and ministries. Please RSVP by calling 596-8600 x679. Childcare is available by reservation only by calling 596-8600 x360.

The Benefits of Exercise Walter Bruening has lived in three different centuries and, at 113 years old, is the world’s oldest man of record. A resident of Great Falls, Montana, he points to the importance of diet and exercise as keys to his longevity. He walks through the halls of the Rainbow Retirement Home with the help of his walker. In the spiritual realm, we can learn much from this octogenarian. Every Christian needs exercise. As we have been talking about spiritual gifts and talents, we have seen that each Christian is blessed in this fashion (1 Peter 5:10-11). God has so endowed us that we may employ these blessings to serve others in and through His Body. Because spiritual gifts are a supernatural capacity and desire for service, this implies potential rather than practice. You must develop and deploy for the Lord. All of us must grow in understanding how God has made us and how He wants to use us. This growth best takes place through the “exercise” of serving in different areas of the local church. Before I knew that I had gifts in preaching and leadership, I worked with young boys in a scouting and missions program, developed school prayer huddles, did street witnessing, and jail preaching. I also worked with inner city

children in missions. During all of these experiences, God was guiding and using me and preparing me for future ministry. You will receive a card today which we request that you fill out and turn in telling us of your past experiences, present sense of gifts and talents, and interest in various ministries. We desire that every member be a minister and serve in some way. You may not think that your gift applies to certain areas, but you would be surprised. To live long and well, we must not only have a good diet of spiritual food but keep the circulation going with the exercise of service. Speaking of diet, there is some rich food available for you that is not fattening but fulfilling. I have been privileged to write an entire week of devotionals for the One-Year Devotional Prayer Book. In beautiful leather binding, this book will bless you and your family as some of American’s finest Bible teachers have contributed to writing for different weeks. We are charging only $10 and have plenty of copies for you to buy at our bookstore as Christmas gifts. I receive nothing in remuneration from the sales but am privileged to share the truth through these daily devotionals and prayers.

KidzTown is open to all children in 1st through 4th grade and is located in DC120 Saturdays at 6:00 pm or Sundays at 9:30am. You will not want to miss one medieval minute of it!!
