RANCHO CUCAMONGA PT CRUISER CRUISIN’ CLUB SEPTEMBER 2009 NEWSLETTER - ISSUE # 34 INLAND EMPIRE - SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA PECHANGA RESORT & CASINO This cruise had been cancel from Saturday September 5, 2009 to Sunday September 6, 2009 due to scheduling problems for this cruise and holiday traffic on Saturday. We met at Krispy Kremes donut shop at 3 pm and left around 3: 45 pm. We were missing several club members so I called them and they said they would meet us at the Casino. We had to leave to stay on schedule due to the fact that we had Jim D. waiting for us down the 15 freeway. We were going to be there about 2 to 3 hours and have a nice luncheon or early dinner and then spend a little bit of money at the casino. Well sometimes things happen and today something did happen. One of our club members broke her ankle at home and went to the emergency at the hospital but still wanted to go on the cruise so her husband and her drove to the casino by themselves and caught up with us. But I guess the injury was so traumatic that she became sick soon after they got there and so ill that she had no choice but to return home and was escorted and helped along the way by Manuel & Lucy Carrillo. When we arrived at the Pechanga Casino (which was a nice cruise getting there) we were able to park together but had to take two trams to the Casino. With so many people there we became separated within 5 to 10 minutes. While spending a little bit of time finding each other some of us found the banquet room for the buffet which offered all you can eat for one price. C I must admit the price for the buffet took me by surprise when I noticed the all you can eat price amount. I believe a buffet should be a bargain at best to attract people who would like a good meal but at $22.50 per person, well that is not to good even for a high roller gambler. For medium size groups to sit together the tip of 20% is already included in the bill. Continue 

I told the cashier that was ridiculous and said to her that we were not together. Upon entering the dining area a very nice waitress asked how many were in the group and I responded by saying about 16, so she directed us to a full size table that accommodated the whole group. Now…this was much better. We all left a good size tip of our own choosing for the waitress who was very pleasant and very nice to us. After our meal we headed out to the casino and searched for the hot gambling deals and there again there were so many people that it was difficult to find a slot machine or able to gamble without bumping into someone. Even so - overall we had a good time throughout the evening and even with some unpleasant obstacles we did manage to stay happy and enjoy ourselves. One good thing though, a nice treat was when we went to get a Club Card, the casino gave each of us a $10.00 credit to play with or use within the casino for other things. We decided to meet up at a certain location within the casino and leave about the same time which we did. We cruised north on the 15 freeway and ended our day a little tired but happy that we made this cruise. There will be some cruises we go on that might have its difficulties but when you take as many cruises as we do during the entire year one or two that might not have gone well is nothing compared to all of the ones that do come out great at the end of the day. Then again no matter what cruise we take we always seem to end up enjoying each other’s company at a nice restaurant and celebrating someone’s birthday too. Next year we will not be cruisin’ to Pechanga but instead to San Miguel or Morongo.
