RANCHO CUCAMONGA PT CRUISER CRUISIN’ CLUB 2009 FEBRUARY 2009 NEWSLETTER ISSUE #27

January 12 2009 Club Cruisin' Membership. Hello Cruisin' Cruisers

January 18 2009 The Doo Dah Parade Cruise.

I will continue to add more cruises throughout the year so check out the web site every so often to keep informed of the events going on. Also I am contacting places that we will be cruisin' to and asking them if they will give us a discount when we show them our I.D. cards. Already several have said they will acknowledge our Cruisin' Club I.D. Cards for a discount so hopefully I can get some more.

We went on our first 2009 cruise and it was a blast. I had no idea of what we were going to see at the Doo Dah Parade in Pasadena but what we saw was just fantastic and awesome. We just couldn't believe the parade entries.

As you know this club has no stationary Meet & Greets and we have no business meetings, or contact other than the scheduled cruises so if you want to use the web site message board or comments board on the web site, go right ahead and type anything you like.

The restrooms were clean and all business's open. We finished off the cruise at Denny's restaurant. It’s hard to explain this parade with huge rabbits riding a scooter, and 100 little weenie dogs or the pope protected by the John Smiths riding in a convertible Corvair. I must admit this was a great parade to see. Saturday January 24 2009 Palm Springs Air Museum Cruise.

Remember though, this club is not one to take away your allegiance from a car club you might belong to, but one that cares about your membership and happy you join this club to cruise. I have heard nothing but good compliments from many people in other clubs about the club members and about the cruisin’ club.

On our 2nd cruise for 2009 it turned out to be a memorable and exciting day for us. We headed out towards Palm Springs via the San Bernardino freeway and met up with Jim Dekoker in Beaumont. Changing Lanes For Safety Rules was perfect, not only did we have great conversations on the 2-way radio's we moved swiftly and perfectly from one lane to another.

This club went from a stationary Meet & Greet Club to a full time Cruisin' Club this year and I believe we are the only first full time PT Cruiser Cruisin' Club in the entire state of California, and possibly the United States.

Arriving at Palm Springs Air Museum the staff gave us the Red Carpet Treatment. They directed us to park in front of the museum circle entrance and greeted us with 2 tour representatives who were Air Force & Navy pilots.

Dale Brooks will be calling on the club cruisin' membership for a reminder of any upcoming cruise a few days before a cruise. In addition I have U.S. mailed the entire 2009 Cruise Schedule to the club members that have no access to a computer so that they will be informed of what’s going on during the year.

We left Palm Springs Air Museum and headed farther east cruisin' about 15 to 20 minutes to the Red Robin restaurant where Eddie Johnson had made arrangements for the cruisin' club to have 4 tables and 3 complimentary appetizer plates. Maria Savedra typed out an itinerary from the time we arrived to the time we cruised back home. This was definitely a good cruise from the time we left to the time we returned.
