The majority of these people are woman and children. Even though they have fled from their homes, they remain inside the country’s borders. The number of displaced people in Iraq has grown by 16% in September to 2,299,425 people. National II. Bush presents Medals of Freedom Washington, USA On Monday, President Bush presented the presidential Medal of Freedom. This medal is the nation’s highest civilian award that recognizes contributions in science, the arts, literature, and the cause of peace and freedom. "Each of them, by effort and by character, has earned the respect of the American people, and holds a unique place in the story of our time," Bush said at an East room cemetery. Some of the honorees were Gary Becker, Oscar Elias Biscet, Francis Collins, Benjamin Hooks, Henry Hyde, Brian Lamb, Harper Lee, and Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. Local III. Man found shot to death in Vallejo driveway Vallejo, United States A man was shot and killed in Vallejo, police said Monday. Roderick Anderson, 24, of Vallejo was shot about 7:15 p.m. Officers responding to reports of shots fired found Anderson lying dead in a driveway, police said. He was the city's 15th homicide victim this year.

'Transformers' star arrested in Chicago Chicago, United States "Transformers" star Shia LeBeouf, formerly of Disney's hit teen show "Even Stevens," was arrested early Sunday morning in Chicago. Police arrested the 21 year-old at a Walgreens in downtown Chicago at 2:25 a.m. LeBeouf was reported of trespassing for refusing to leave the store after numerous requests by the store's security guard, who said the star was noticeably drunk. Sports V. Nalbandian beats Nadal at Paris Masters (Didn’t say) David Nalbandian beat Rafael Nadal 6-4, 6-0 Sunday to win the Paris Masters and clinch his second straight Masters title after winning in Madrid last month. The Argentine player beat Nadal in the ninth game of the first set and three times in the second. He won the match with a forehand that bounced off the net and landed inside the line. Weather VI.
