PARED-DOWN ELEGANCE The Bregenzerwald is a region for lovers of fine foods and treats, known for its savoury Bergkäse mountain cheese and the CheeseTrail. It boasts a number of themed trails that have many stories to tell. The Schubertiade concerts in the picture-book setting of Schwarzenberg are the highlight of the cultural season. MOUNTAINS & NATURE By road, the Kleinwalsertal can be reached only from Germany. The valley is hemmed in on three sides by mountain peaks towering up to 2,000m. In the summer, the unspoilt and largely untouched alpine nature is a hotspot for hikers, bikers and those wanting to replenish spent energies. The Bergschau exhibition with several interactive stations is a must for every visitor. Festivals and the gambling casino in Riezlern cater to guests looking for entertainment.

TRAFFIC INFORMATION TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS Traffic is limited on a number of national roads (height and weight limitations). The Silvretta High-Alpine Road is closed for caravans from Partenen to Galtür (toll road). Not recommended for caravans: L 193 (Faschina road from Au – Faschinajoch – Fontanella); L 200 (Hochtannberg road from Schoppernau – Warth); L 51 (Laternser road from Rankweil – Furkajoch – Damüls) and different mountain roads to high-lying destinations. PUBLIC TRANSPORT Vorarlberg has a highly developed network of public transport by bus and rail. Buses and trains run at scheduled intervals, the regional timetables are closely dovetailed.
