How to Reach Vorarlberg How to reach us ... by car
PLEASANTLY SMALL IN SIZE, STRETCHING A MERE 95 KM BY ROAD FROM NORTH TO SOUTH, FROM LAKE CONSTANCE TO THE ARLBERG. THE TOWNS AND VILLAGES HARMONIOUSLY BLEND TRADITION AND MODERNITY. Beginners and advanced skiers alike flock to the world-famous ski resorts of Lech and Zürs on the Arlberg, the expansive Montafon ski area, the Klostertal valley and the Sonnenkopf, lovely Brandnertal, the twocountry ski region Kleinwalsertal, the leisurely Bregenzerwald, the biosphere park Grosses Walsertal, and the sundappled slopes in the Rhine valley. An increasing number of visitors come for the peace and serenity of winter wonderland, enjoying cross-country skiing, winter hiking, Nordic walking, or being pampered at a health and wellness hotel. Winter sports lovers from all over the world harbour a two-fold love of Vorarlberg, appreciating the warm and gracious welcome, and the high quality and standard of service in elegant hotels and casual guesthouses, upscale restaurants and traditio-

Helmet on and off they go! Well looked after by specially trained ski instructors, kids will learn to ski within few days, and this is even guaranteed by the ski schools. In a fundriven and playful manner, they steady their feet on the magic carpet, accomplish turns around colourful fairy-tale figures, play in igloos or a world of indoor games. Vorarlberg has a love for children and does everything to ensure that families with children spend a most pleasant holiday. All large ski resorts, and indeed most of the smaller ones, run ski nurseries and ski schools where the little ones are well looked after. Clearly, there is an advantage in learning to ski while you are young.
