I Love You Fervently! Ricardo Saúl LaRosa I do not understand how I knew you were my true love, From the first moment I saw you, From that very special moment in my life, I began falling in love with you, I do not know what I have done to deserve your sweetness, Nor will I question Providence lest I should be punished, I have desired in all my life one true love, To love, to cherish, to adore as I adoringly cherish you, I have desired the greatest love of my life, She has come my way; and she is you, her name is yours… I have cried so long; too much for being alone, But alone no more; for you are with me! I kiss your hand respectfully asking you to join me tonight, For a dinner and a dance, I am lost dancing slowly with you, Holding you close to me never letting you go, my dream, The music has stopped and we are still dancing, People laughing, saying, “They are so in love!” We walk back to our table; I ask you if you want another wine? “I don’t know I’m feeling tipsy…” (after only one glass…) We danced all night long this princess and I, Her eyes glowed with happiness as my soul cried with joy, Standing in her front door I did not want to leave her side,

Excerpt from THIS SERENADE OF LOVE Holding her hands I asked, when will I see you again? She looked at me with those shy wondering eyes, “I don’t know… maybe tomorrow… if it’s OK with you…” I raised her hand to my lips kissing her infinitely one kiss, She looked at me sweetly; her silence spoke to my heart, Thus our great romance commenced, heavenly, Months passed and I was falling in love with her, Love was conquering my heart as never before, I was falling in love… Than one day I could not control myself; I had to tell that I desired her, As only a man can desire a woman, Your kisses are the sweetest, but, they are driving me insane, I desire you, girl, I want to share love with you… She placed her head on my chest, closed her eyes, kissing my hand, “I do too… I want you to make love to me… but I am afraid to love again,” She began crying, softly murmuring these sacred words: “I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to lead you on… I feel the same desires too,” “I’ve been hurt by love… I need to trust you first… please understand,” I held her forever in my arms drying her tears with my lips, I understand my darling, I truly do understand and respect your wish, I will win your heart, I will strive for your love, I will earn your trust, She shouted, “Do you mean that… do you really, really meant that?” Yes! Yes! Yes, my love a thousand times yes, I mean it with all my heart! Thus our great romance continued, more heavenly, Months passed and I had fallen in love with her,

Excerpt from THIS SERENADE OF LOVE She surprised me one morning waking me up at dawn, With two tickets in her hands, with love on her face, she said: “We’re going on holiday to Rome, the city of love,” she continued, “I’ve been falling in love with you and you have earned my trust!” In Rome I stood in the Plaza and shouted in my horrible Italian: Il movimento di Juliet e del Romeo da parte per un maggior amore che il vostro è emerso sul fronte di questa terra! (Romeo and Juliet move aside for a greater love than yours has surfaced on the face of this Earth!) Thousands upon thousands cheered for us on and shouted, Sono nell'amore!, Sono nell'amore!, Sono nell'amore!, (They are in love! They are in love! They are in love!) Than from nowhere a horse-driven carriage arrived for us! ( A man being moved by what he saw was compelled to order the carriage) We were driven to our hotel as well wishes cheered, shouting amore! (love!) By the light of a fireplace, in our room, I declared my love to you, We knelt on our knees, holding hands, with tears of joy in my eyes, I said: I love you fervently, more than the spoken words can ever say, I wish to love you as my woman, to cherish you, to be my love, now onwards, I love you fervently, more than this poet can ever write, inspire or express, I am lost for words for words are insufficient, “I love you,” falls short, I love you fervently, my woman, my love, my happiness, I love you fervently, for you are my love forevermore…
