Excerpt from LOVE SONNETS
Who Lost Faith In Love? (Sonnet) By Ricardo Saul LaRosa I saw you from afar, Almost did not recognize you, Whatever happen to that shinning star, That turned our love from red to blue, Remembering that you were once my great love, Made me fall to my knees and cry, Seeing how you have fallen from above, In your selfish vanity you will surely die, How have you lost faith in love, When all your dreams were coming true, And you were blessed by the heavens above, Tormenting Hell coming your way without a clue, Having loved you caused my honor’s lost, Saying “I love you” with fingers crossed. Who lost faith in love? Who dreamed dreams that can’t come true, Who cursed the Gods above, Who left my lonely heart blue, Why destroy the lives that loved you, Why compel someone to love, Why make believe that you love too, Why a wolf masquerading as a dove, When will you ever learn my fallen star, When will you ever come to understand, When will your love never scar, When will your peace ever land, Are you at peace now or dying, Are you in love still with illusions, Are your beautiful eyes still crying, Are your thoughts all but delusions.
