Excerpt from THIS SERENADE OF LOVE
Where Have The Stars Gone Tonight? Ricardo Saúl LaRosa Where have the stars gone tonight? Twinkling hazel-stars in your eyes, Which I one held in my heart’s embrace, Sweetness’ sweet my precious evening star, Where have you gone tonight, my love? Why did I have to have eyes, And ears, and arms, and hands, Which once held the most precious pearl, Why did I have to have lips, Which once savored the love in your lips, Where have the stars gone tonight? Loneliness is my only friend, tonight, Why did I have to be born on Earth? A man, a miserable lonely man, And not an angel of wings and grace! Where have the stars gone tonight? And where has my faith in dreams vanished, And where has the light of my life gone, And in whose heaven does my love now linger, And where have the stars gone tonight? © 1983 All Rights Reserved.
