From POET IN EXILE
Don’ Don’t You Ever Doubt That I Love You! ( Sonnet) By Ricardo Saul LaRosa
I received your letter; it made me cry and cry, You said that all is well, but, inside there is doubt, That you are afraid to commit and don’t know why, That you need time to think; time to walk about, This poet understands your words for I believe you truly, I have been there too; all broken hearted and dead, In a world indifferent to lovers; treating them cruelly, Sweet dreams all shattered, wounded, as our hearts bled, Don’t you ever doubt that I love you! Ask your heart, my darling, for it does not lie, If my love for you is insincere or is it true blue, You must decide now lest my heart shall die, No rhythm nor reason nor excuse for this madness, I love you; don’t let doubt cause our sadness.
