The Indo European words namely Diva, dina, dies are derived from the Tamil word Thul which means lustre, brightness and on the analogy of daytime-brightness. உல் ul (To cause to shine; to illumine, enlighten)-> துல் tul (To cause to shine; to illumine, enlighten)-> துலக்கம் tulakkam, n. 1.
