The words animus, animation, atma, auto [English, Latin, Greek and Sanskrit words] are derived from the tamil words as seen bellow. அல் (al) [ெபாருத்துதல், ெபாருந்துதல் connecting, Joining, Joint, Uniting, bond->(அக (ak) )-> அகம் akam, n. In Tamil was used to denote Ego, a character/attitude of the Mind. By metaphorism, अहम ् Aham (> அகம் Akam) has denoted the menaing of "self" which is connected to body. அகம்akam, n. 1.
