LESSON ORGANISATION (based on Australian Curriculum: Health & Physical Education)

Intention: By the end of this lesson, students should be able to list some key AFL terms, facts and historical events. Pre-lesson organisation: Have the small soft ball on the teachers’ desk ready for the start of the class. Have a fully charged laptop with the projector cords all set up. Have copies of the true or false worksheet ready, as well as blank word search templates and a Kahoot. Have students’ desks and chairs set neatly for group work. Get students to clean up any paper or rubbish that may be lying around near them, to straighten their desks and sit at their desks quietly with their things packed ready for the end of class. Closure: Students are sitting at their desks with their things packed and tidy. The teacher goes over the activities that the class did and asks students what were some of the things they had learnt from today’s lesson.
