M EGAN B IRNEY Serving the Lord in Hong Kong Megan Birney serves as a GEO missionary in Hong Kong. She facilitates conversational Englishas-a-Foreign-Language (EFL) classes and Bible classes at the Lutheran Tsang Shing Siu Leun School, Holy Savior Lutheran Church, Concordia English Gospel Outreach Center, and Wan Chi English Center. Through these ministries, Megan is given the opportunity to spread the Gospel to many students and families. Megan was born in West Palm Beach, Fla., and her home congregation is Shepherd of the Coast Lutheran Church in Palm Coast, Fla. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in interdisciplinary studies with a minor in history from the University of Central Florida. She is currently working on her Master of Science degree in family life ministry from Concordia University Nebraska, Seward, Neb. In her free time, Megan enjoys playing lacrosse, reading, baking, and listening to live music. Please lift up Megan in prayer as she serves the Lord in Hong Kong. Pray that the Lord would pave the way and open hearts to the ministries of LCMS World Mission and The Lutheran Church—Hong Kong Synod. Ask that the Lord would grant her discernment and wisdom as she serves and that she would be given courage and strength throughout her time in Hong Kong. Please pray that God will bless this ministry and that nothing would hinder the work of the Holy Spirit in Hong Kong!
