A Poem For My Love

 I was born a poor and plain man, Of which I am exceedingly grateful with no remorse, Providence bestowed upon me no royalty nor riches, Of wealth, gold or silver I have none, But of what I have, my love, I shall give to you, And do so, freely, of my own will and power: I have one brawny body for you, It will work from sunrise to sunset to provide for us, I am no financial wizard but I can chop wood and earn an honest living, Sunlight blessing me; the sweat dipping down my face whispers your name, Just thinking of you inspires me to continue working more and more for us, I have two strong arms for you, They will build us a humble shack in the meadow near the river, An old fashion fireplace will keep us warm, But it is the glow in your eyes that lights my heart with love, I have two solid hands to paint the desires of my heart upon the canvass of the universe, This poet shares a wonderful world of love of joy with you as the protagonist, You are the object of this madman’s affections; the brightest starlet in my galaxy, Van Gogh and Shelley be warned one crazier than you both has just landed on Mars, And I have just conquered this world for my love and I, I have one insane mind that is in love, creative, zealously and adoringly yours, I used the tears in your eyes to cloth this barren planet with a biosphere, I used the dormant DNA of the most beautiful of Earth’s extinct creatures to cohabit our new world, I have reserved lands as sanctuary for lost souls, alive and in higher planes as a place where they may finally call, home,

Excerpt from BEYOND LOVE

I have two dark brown eyes to admire and adore you, And I do adore you! A poet’s eyes that see beyond the horizons, beyond what is possible on Earth, This poet is not limited by conformity, protocols or obsolete man made laws, This poet follows the great laws of the universe; the Great Creed of Universality: Love One Another, Unto all who cross your path show kindness, mercy, and above all justice, Than and only than may you claim your birthright which is this: All the powers of creation shall be given to you… I have only one heart to give and I gladly give it to you, For you have given me so much love that I am left wordless, All the happiness I have ever known spells out your name, All the wonderfulness of my world was inspired by you, In this poem I declare my love to you, for you, of you, From this moment forward Mars will be known as the planet of Love not War, For the first time in millions of years life dwells, again, on Mars, A beautiful new world created and inspired by your love, This is a poem for my love, I am sending you today with all my heart and love, From this poor and crazy poet, Enclosed are three bottles of wine of which I made myself, Enclosed are three dozen roses of red, white, and yellow of which I grew myself, Enclosed is a wooden cross of our Lord of which I carved with my hands, Enclosed is a pearl necklace and earrings; the pearls of which I picked myself in the sea, Enclosed is a diamond ring; the diamond of which I mined myself in Africa, These gifts are a small gesture of my appreciation for what you have meant to me, You have made my life worth living,
