Entrants had to compete on a course wit h a 100m swim, 4km bike ride followed by a run on the playing fields. There were a record 1600 participants from the Nelson area. We had 66 children in the event. This is the largest contingent we have ever had. It was great to see everyone so enthusiastic. Congratulations on your great sportsmanship. Bryn Sussex of room 6 was lucky enough to win a bike helmet as a sport prize. If you have any digital photographs of the triathlon could you please email them to me at [email protected] Visiting the Suter - Room 13 Yesterday we went to the Suter Art Gallery. We went to see an exhibition called The Maui Dynasty. We saw lots of art. We also saw a special shell made out of metal. It had a blue light tha t shone through it making the shell look like it had a waterfall inside it. It was pretty. I liked the Maui dynasty art and it was fun there. By Luci Rawson, 6 years old On Monday we went to the Art Gallery. I liked the cheeky monkey because it had a bindi. I also felt a bit scared of the ba t. I liked the paper nautilus shell because the blue light shone.
