I have a responsibility to care for the school environment

Citizenship is Everyone’s Business As a practical way to put our learning about citizenship into place we will be assisting Curves Gym in their annual “March Food Bank Appeal” In these increasingly tough economic t imes we welcome this opportunity to help out fellow Nelsonians who are having difficulty putting food on the table. If you wish to participate please have your child bring something non perishable to contribute to their classes’ collection box. Curves have offered a pizza party for the class that collects the most but in keeping with our citizenship theme and after discussion with the senior classes we have asked Curves to forgo this offer and contribute the money saved to the food bank. We are very proud that the majority of the children have come to this decision. Collection will be over the month of March Thank you in ant icipation for your support.

Thank you for donating all these cans. It’s amazing how many we have! Please keep up the great work! Ella Middleton and Kezia Hughes (Room 2) (ed- Their next job was to weigh them all!)

This week we are collecting: Cereals, Flour, Sugar and Dried Pasta.
