Nelson Central School Week l y N e ws l ett er

Nga mihi nui ki a koutou katoa te whanau whanui o te Kura Tuatahi o Whakatu – greetings to friends and family of Nelson Central School.

2010. Also, if you know of families who are considering enrolling in the school next year I would appreciate it if you could let them know to contact the school office.

ICT Expo Thanks to everyone who helped our children with their participation in the 2009 ICT Kid’s Expo. There was a wide and impressive range of eLearning activity on show. What impressed me most was how much further on all schools are when compared with the ICT Expo of 2008. One can only imagine where we will be with eLearning in 2-3 years!

Nelson Central Achievers Phoenix (R5) 98% in basic facts

Vandalism From time to time we suffer vandalism at school in the form of broken windows, graffiti, stones on the slide, broken bottles, large items thrown into the swimming pool, damage to the football goal posts, removal of netball hoops etc. With daylight saving we seem to have more and more people congregating in the school grounds and that is fine as long as they show respect for our facilities. It is not possible for us to provide 24/7 surveillance but can we please ask families visiting the school grounds to telephone the police and advise them of suspicious behaviour.
