When Two Hearts Collide Tribute for Genaro Salinas, Tenor (1920 - April 28, 1957) Ricardo Saúl LaRosa How does one know when true love has come? How do I know if you are my love? O’ Heart of mine be still… Listen and feel the love exploding in your soul, When your true blue love appears, You shall know, You shall know! When love has come your way… Stars appear were none dwelt before, Colors of new that you have never seen before sparkle, When she kisses my lips, Earth goes in reverse, My world as I have know it is no more, She has conquered my life, With her smile and kisses sweeter than love, A love that had eluded me an eternity, She is humble, reserved, unassuming, She is coy, but, not when she is in my arms, In my arms she is my darling love, Giving meaning to the words, “I love you,” Am I sleeping? Is this a dream? © 2009 This Serenade of Love: Anthology of Poetry, Volume 5

Excerpt from THIS SERENADE OF LOVE She wakes my up with a thousand kisses, Shouting, “Wake up my love!” I am not sleeping, this is not a dream, She is my girl and I am in love, I am a poet in love! She has made my life anew with her love, I am left wordless, I can not express in verse this greatest love of all, Her love! Her love for me and what did she ever see in me? To deserve her unconditional love, Her passions, her kisses, her adoringly womanly desires, Desires upon my soul, my heart, my body, As she adores my soul with kisses, Kisses that say, “I am yours,” in every kiss, Love and love and love in every touch, Her fingers touching my skin, my heart, my soul, Her lips kissing mine endlessly, I am the happiest of all men on Earth, For I love the woman who adores me, She adores me for who I am with all my faults, She judges me not; only guides a righteous path, My heart is content with her love, She has made my life worth living as never before,

Excerpt from THIS SERENADE OF LOVE A poet in love, fervently in love, am I! Her love has made my world come alive, True love at last has entered my world, And her name, her name is yours, My love, my true love, is you; my darling, My heart’s desires all fulfilled in the spelling of your name, I am selfish and I am jealous with my love, I will not tell the world your name, Never, never will they know your name, For fear of heartless envies that betray even their own blood, You are mine and mine alone! Let the world wonder and drift away… Heavenly, Happiness, Love! An eternal love… A true love! You and I… When two hearts collide, In truth, in humbleness, in faithfulness, Love grows in them with wonderful splendors, For Love hears and answers all prayers from the heart, Of those who desire trueness in love with all their soul, And Love, a true love will shower; will reign in their lives!
