Welcome to the new edition of the Vanilla Times! The Vanilla Times will be published for all three of Winona Health’s assisted living facilities: Watkins Manor, Adith Miller Manor and Roger Metz Manor. We will be bringing this newsletter to you on a monthly basis to keep you informed about Assisted Living news.
April showers bring May flowers...and vegetables, too!
In the coming weeks we will get our gardens ready. The Garden Club at Watkins will begin to plan what they want to plant this year. AMM and RMM have already started some vegetable seedlings in small green houses. Everyone—residents and families—is invited to participate in keeping our gardens beautiful.

Jennifer Ready is the new Assisted Living Supervisor. Jennifer started her career at RMM in 1997. Jennifer is responsible for the day-to-day operations of AMM and RMM. Jennifer’s office is located at AMM.

Over the last few months there have been some position changes, but not too many new faces. Cheryl Krage is the new Assisted Living Manager. She has worked for Winona Health for over 13 years at AMM. Cheryl is responsible for the management of all three assisted living facilities. Her office is located at Watkins Manor.

Jennifer is responsible for greeting visitors, assisting residents with transportation and other services and managing Watkins room rentals. Welcome, Jennifer!

Jake, Therapeutic Rec Assistant, is currently reviewing the results and will implement new programming per resident requests. Thanks to everyone who participated! i Save the date! Watkins Manor Family Picnic will be held on Friday, June 22nd in the late afternoon. Invitations will be mailed. i Congratulations to the WATS moving winner for the month of April: Dorothy P. Dorothy received a $10 gift certificate to Wal-Mart. Way to get moving, Dorothy! i Next Resident Council will be held on Wednesday, May 16th at 10:00 a.m. in the Great Hall. All residents are invited to attend.
