Cheryl Krage and Jennifer Ready attended a conference sponsored by the Minnesota Health & Housing Alliance. Educational sessions included information on a new program, Confident Choices, for assisted living consumers, new housing options for seniors, Alzheimer’s Disease, changes to Minnesota’s Elderly Waiver Customized Living service packages and the new Assisted Living Uniform Consumer Information Guide. National Assisted Living Week ~ September 9-15th ~

This year’s them is “Legacies of Love”. September’s issue of the Vanilla Times will have a list of fun events to celebrate residents and staff!

6:00 p.m. instead of Mondays. i Congratulations to July punch winners, Arlene and Germaine. Way to get moving! i Tomatoes and cucumbers are ripening in the garden. They look great! Feel free to pick them. i Next Resident Council meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 15th at 10:00 a.m. in the Great Hall. Just For Laughs This police officer sees an elderly woman driving and knitting at the same time so after driving next to her for awhile he yells to her,"PULLOVER". She replies,"No a pair of socks".
