Positive and Lasting Effects of Program: Residents got a great first hand look at many different countries and had fun learning something new. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Short Evaluation of Program: The Apartments/Belk Resident Assistants as well as many of the residents themselves came together to transform the lobby and study rooms of Belk Hall into Australia. We focused on three main parts: the tropics, the city, and the Outback. We had many residents, staff members, and other RA's come out and learn about Australia's culture. We also encouraged residents to travel over to other countries/areas to experience their culture too, and to see how they compare and differ. Overall the program was a great success, a lot of hard work, and lots of fun. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------How Could the Program Be Adapted to Other Campuses? Very easily if their areas have a lobby or common room. You just pick a country and focus on its main parts and educate your residents on its cultures and differences. Make it educational but fun!
