TRANSPORTATION USED IN TRANSLATION Translation, for students from non-native English language, should be particulary learnt by using an appropriate procedure. To acquire the skill of translation, they at least have to know, owing to the fact that it is an applied skill of language mastery, about at least two languages. Accordingly, they must understrand how to use the its procedure used in the proccess of transfering the message from a source language into a target language. The most common procedure used is Transportation. In this paper, I would like to reveal what Transportation is, and what the important step to take in its procedure. In translation, transportation is the most common but essential procedure which students have to know. For it involves a grammatical structure replacement from a source language with one of different type meaning into a target language to achieve the same effect. On account of the complex structure learnt, it will be difficult for the students if they do not any abilities in understanding a grammatical structure of the target language they will translete. A grammatical structure used in translation, which always appears to be transleted, consist an extended structure. For example, a grammatical structure of English language involves complex sentence structures which is often and even nearly always abrigded, ommitted, and reduced. It will be of course difficult for the students who have not studied Participle, Gerund, and to infinitive structures. Convincing those, Andrian Dwijulianto, Director of ELFAST [English Language as Foreign Application Standar], the famous course for translation in Pare Kediri East Java, said that a grammatical structure was the essential thing which the students had to know. Therefore, before going on to another subject in translation, they should firstly studied a grammatical structure for about one month of two months instructional program in order to master an extended structure used in translation. In addition to making clear to the importance of a grammatical structure in translation, Udin Kamiludin, a translation instructor of STAIN Cirebon, Stated, “A grammatical structure used in translation is one of the essential hardware of the language.”

As we have known above, Transportation, in the proces of transfering the message to the source language is, in fact, not as easy as we think. we have to identify with steps taken to make translation easier. Its step is each good at achieving the message of the target language

which is needed to be acquired. One of the important step in

transportation is analyzing sentences. Analyzing sentences, in Translation, means that the subject, the verb, the object, and the sentences, should be recognized. Either the subject or the object in the form of words, phrases, clauses or the subject or the object in the form of Gerund and Infinitive. In conclusion, English was so important to know due to the fact that there are many references written in English. To comprehend all meaning in those written English, we should know how to translete it correctly. Thus, because of our Indonesian language, transportation, the procces of transfering English meaning into Indonesian meaning, is very principal for us to understand well.
