Thankful for Children
"So Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk. Now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the LORD. And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore. And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head."- I Samuel 1:9-11
Having a young child around the house can be fun yet challenging. Every child that is born is a gift from God. As Psalm 127:3 says, "Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward." There is no greater gift than to be able to hold your newborn child and praise God for His blessing. But with that gift comes responsibility. That small child you hold will one day

become an adult, and how you train them will determine what kind of adult they will be. Will they respect God and serve Him? Or will they live like the world, fulfilling their own selfish desires? It is our job as parents to train our children in the godly principles of the Bible. Parenting isn't always easy. There will be times of discipline and correction on those young ones we love, yet it is vital for their development. God commands us to both nurture and admonish (correct) our children: "And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord" (Ephesians 6:4). Thank God for His blessing of children. Whether you have a child, grandchild, niece, nephew, or cousin; take time to thank God that He blesses us with young ones. As a parent, be faithful in teaching your children God's principles. Never waiver on bringing up your children in the ways of God.
Funds for Snow Plow Truck We are asking our church family to remember the Lord’s work in your gift giving during December. The church is in the process of upgrading our snow removal equipment. We need approx. $8,000. Please indicate your gift on the offering envelope with the word, “TRUCK.”

Where Will I Spend Eternity? Your relationship to Jesus Christ is central to the answer to that question. Our Dilemma: We are, by nature, sinners who stand guilty and condemned before our Creator and Judge. In our thoughts and actions, we have disobeyed His perfect standards. We are sinners (Romans 3:10, 23). Our Inability: We are helpless to save ourselves. Forgiveness is a gift to be received, not a reward that can be earned. We need a Saviour (Ephesians 2:8-9). Our Saviour: Because of His love for us, God provided salvation through His Son, Jesus. He became a member of the human family, lived without sin, and died on the cross to pay for our sins. Jesus is the Saviour (Romans 5:8; John 3:16). Our Response: Salvation is an individual matter and requires a personal response on the part of anyone that wants to be saved. All who acknowledge their sin and place their trust in Christ are adopted as God’s children (Romans 10:9, 13).
