Thankful for His Faithfulness First Corinthians gives us a promise for our battle against the devil-"but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." God promises help when we need it most. God is faithful. He is faithful to see our struggle and offer a way of escape. God knows our limits, and He knows what we can handle, so He promises to not give us more than we can handle. He promises to help us through temptation, and give us a way to resist it. What a great God! While the devil will do his best to cause you to fall, God offers His "escape route" so that you can resist temptation and continue living for Him.

Thank God that He is faithful! He is not only faithful to save you, b u t t o de liv e r y o u f r o m temptation. Are you facing an overwhelming temptation today? Don't give in to the temptation, thinking resistance is futile. Seek God's help, and follow His plan of escape. Allow God to lead you past the temptation and into continued fellowship with Him. "Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry." I Corinthians 10:12-14

Where Will I Spend Eternity? Your relationship to Jesus Christ is central to the answer to that question. Our Dilemma: We are, by nature, sinners who stand guilty and condemned before our Creator and Judge. In our thoughts and actions, we have disobeyed His perfect standards. We are sinners (Romans 3:10, 23). Our Inability: We are helpless to save ourselves. Forgiveness is a gift to be received, not a reward that can be earned. We need a Saviour (Ephesians 2:8-9). Our Saviour: Because of His love for us, God provided salvation through His Son, Jesus. He became a member of the human family, lived without sin, and died on the cross to pay for our sins. Jesus is the Saviour (Romans 5:8; John 3:16). Our Response: Salvation is an individual matter and requires a personal response on the part of anyone that wants to be saved. All who acknowledge their sin and place their trust in Christ are adopted as God’s children (Romans 10:9, 13).
Please show respect by turning off all electronic devices (PDA’s, cell phones) and refrain from text messaging during the church services.
