He has been a Fleet Service Clerk for forty two years. His duties include guiding the planes in and out, loading and unloading baggage and mail freight, cleaning the interior of the airplane, and handling waste disposal from the lavatories. He was off on Monday and Tuesday, September 10th and 11th. JARVIE stated that he has never been arrested. He Is not aware of anyone in his family ever being arrested. No one has ever asked him to put something on an airplane, nor has anyone asked him to give anything to a passenger. He did not put anything on flight 77/144, nor did he give anything to a passenger of flight 77. No one has asked him about security at the airport, nor has anyone asked for photographs of the cockpit of any of their airplanes. He has not given anyone a tour of the gate facilities, nor has he seen any other employee giving a tour of the gate facilities other than to a new employee or children. He is not, nor is any member of his family, or circle of friends, a member of a radical political group, a radical religious group, or a terrorist group. He has no knowledge of who was involved in the hijacking of Flight 77. JARVIE advised that he has a green badge that gets him on the Dulles Airport property and to the gate area of AMERICAN AIRLINES. JARVIE stated that he has challenged people if he does not see a badge. The challenges were resolved in that their badge was out of sight. BROWN provided her date of birth a3__ land her Social Security Account Number SSAN asl I BROWN advised as follows: She has been an Operations Agent for twenty seven years. Her duties include all matters pertaining to the "ticket lift operation" which handles all operations regarding the ticket counter, boarding and deplaning passengers, baggage service and dispatching flights. She was off on Sunday and Monday and worked Tuesday, September 11, 2001, from 5:30am until 2:00pm. She worked at the main ticket counter checking in passengers with tickets in First Class and those that had Executive Platinum, Gold and Platinum Club memberships. BROWN stated that she checked in passengers for flight TJT who were in the first class cabin or had the above memberships. BROWN recalled checking in Mr. YAMNICKY, an older white male, as he had a problem with his ticket that had been obtained from a travel agent. YAMNICKY was not upset over the problem with his ticket, . and she was able to resolve it for him. She also recalled checking / in Mr. DROZ, a middle aged white male. She recalled Mr. DROZ as she knows an individual by the name of DROST and this man pronounced his name the same way. BROWN advised that she also checked in a female passenger for flight 77 and may have checked in one or two others. BROWN explained that ticket agent DIANE (£EEDS worked next to her and also checked in passengers for flight 77. LEEDS was tied up with a husband and wife who were flying to Maui and had problems with their tickets and an award coupon they were trying to use. BROWN stated that it was a light travel day and there was not a long wait in line to check in. BROWN could not recall checking in any coach passengers, nor could she remember checking in any Arab males or anyone acting suspicious. recalled checking in two Arab males for flight 77.1 I told her that one of the individuals did not speak English. BROWN did not recall seeing anyone in the coach check-in line that appeared suspicious. BROWN stated that if a passenger is acting strange or she does not like the answers they gave to some of the questions asked, she will put them on the "pull list" and /or call down to the gate to tell the gate agent of the problem. BROWN advised that if someone is put on the "pull list", their luggage is not put on the plane until the passenger presents himself for boarding. BROWN stated that she will also put a passenger on the "pull list" if they do not have a picture ID, if they refuse to answer the security questions, or if they make an inappropriate comment. BROWN advised that if a passenger says the word "bomb" she calls the airport police and her supervisor. BROWN stated that approximately two months ago she was working at a gate and saw a man with a utility knife on top of his carry on bag. She challenged the man and he said that there were five or six of them with similar knives. BROWN advised that the knives all had approximately four inch blades and were the type used to cut boxes. BROWN stated that he was shocked that airport security had let these people through. BROWN advised that she tried to make an issue out of the incident, however the security people were not interested. BROWN stated that she has never been arrested. She lives alone and is not aware of anyone in her family ever being arrested. No one has ever asked her to put something on an airplane, nor has anyone asked her to give anything to a passenger. She did not put anything on flight 77/144, nor did she give anything to a passenger on flight 77. No one has asked her about security at the airport, nor has anyone asked for photographs of the cockpit of any of their airplanes. She has not given anyone a tour of the gate facilities, nor has she seen any other employee giving a tour of the gate facilities other than to a new employee or children. JOHNSON explained that travelers can join the Admiral's club for a fee. At the club they can relax, use a computer or a conference room, and she is there to help them with boarding passes, telephone calls and other services. JOHNSON stated that she has access to the gate area and the airplanes but practically speaking, she has no reason to be in the airplanes. JOHNSON advised that she rarely leaves the club. JOHNSON stated that she was off on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, September 10th through the 12th. JOHNSON stated that she has never been arrested. ESCUADRO advised that in addition to regular days off, an employee can take up to 24 days off every three months. ESCUADRO explained that the employee who takes off does not get paid and the individual who works their hours, gets paid. ESCUADRO stated that MUELLER always takes off, and SAEED asked her to work for him as his wife recently had a baby and he wanted to spend time with his family. SAEED also goes to school. ESCUADRO advised that DAVID PIOLI parked flight 144 when it arrived, and NICOLE SUMMERS unloaded the bags from the aft cargo hold. She and CARLOS PEDEMONTE loaded the bags on to the cart and drove them over to the main terminal and unloaded them. ESCUADRO stated that she saw SUMMERS close the aft cargo door, but she could not verify that the hold was empty. When she returned she went to the line room to wait for the next flight. ESCUADRO advised that the mail freight people were handling the mail for flight 144. ESCUADRO advised that after she worked flight 1938, she saw SAEED outside the break room. ESCUADRO estimated that she saw SAEED at approximately 10:00pm. ESCUADRO stated that she asked SAEED what he was doing there since she was working his hours, and he told her he had to xerox the birth certificate for his baby in order to get family leave. Her supervisor told her that it was a light night and the turn around of that flight only had eight bags, so he told her she could leave at 7:37pm with her family. PAYNE advised that approximately two years ago, BRITISH AIRWAYS shared a baggage carousel with AMERICAN AIRLINES. One time he saw bags being sent through the screener without anyone sitting at the monitor. PAYNE stated that he reported the event to BRITISH AIRWAYS and it was resolved. PAYNE advised that approximately three weeks ago he saw bags on the carousel going through the machine but the screener was not looking at the monitor. The screener put stickers on all of the bags without paying attention to the results of the monitor. KALBAUGH stated that his scheduled work hours for Monday, September 10, 2001, were 12:15pm until 6:45pm, however he stayed until 8:45pm. KALBAUGH advised that he did not have anything to do with Flight 144 from Los Angeles as he was getting off duty when it arrived. On Tuesday, September 11, 2001, he arrived at 11:45am, but was unable to get to terminal D so he went home.

He was employed as a Fleet Service Clerk from 1992, until 1998. He was rehired in August of 2001. His duties include guiding the planes in and out, loading and unloading baggage and mail freight, cleaning the interior of the airplane, and handling waste disposal from the lavatories. His shift for the week beginning September 8, 2001, is from 3:15pm to 9:45pm. He worked flight 144 when it arrived from Los Angeles on Monday, September 10th. His crew consisted of CUE, PANTA, SUMMERS, and TURNIPSEED. PIOLI explained that since flight 144 was going to remain overnight, only he and NICOLE SUMMERS handled the plane. Cleaning of the interior of the airplane was handled by the overnight crew. PIOLI stated that he "tipped in" or guided the flight in. Summers was the wing man. He hooked up the plane so it would receive electricity. He unloaded the forward cargo hold. PIOLI advised that the front cargo hold contained about 10 bags and a couple hundred pounds of mail. PIOLI stated that he made sure that the front cargo hold was empty, and then locked the compartment and went to the aft cargo hold where SUMMERS was unloading baggage. PIOLI advised that he asked SUMMERS if she needed help and she told him she did not. PIOLI stated that he helped the bag loaders put the bags on to the cart to be brought to the main terminal. PIOLI further stated that QUAMI TWUM handled the waste disposal of the lavatories from the exterior of the plane. PIOLI explained that usually whoever handles the waste disposal does not have to go on to the plane unless something is clogged. PIOLI explained that he saw TWUM in the waste disposal truck at the aft of the airplane. PIOLI did not know if TWUM went into the airplane. PIOLI advised that after the airplane landed, a mechanic put the chocks behind the wheels and walked around the airplane. PIOLI stated that the mechanic walked around the

airplane and may have checked to see if there were any mechanical problems written up by the crew. PIOLI explained that he saw the mechanic walk around the airplane, but he did not know if he walked on board. PIOLI advised that he saw SUMMERS close the aft cargo hold and they went back to the line room together to wait for their next flight. PIOLI stated that the airplane was left at the gate with the jetway rolled up to the door so the crew and the crew chief could have access to the plane. PIOLI explained that the electricity is not unhooked until the pilot authorizes the removal of the line, so the airplane was hooked up all night. PIOLI advised that he got off work that night at 9:45pm. PIOLI stated that he returned to work at 3:00pm on Tuesday. A coworker, BOB FURBUSH, told him that he pushed flight 77 away from the gate and that the pilot moved sooner than expected. PIOLI explained that 757's and 737's need to be pushed back from the gate with a tractor. The pilots are usually very careful about waiting for the individual pushing them out to get out of the way before they start the engines. PIOLI advised that FURBUSH told him that the pilot must have been in a hurry as he did not wait for FURBUSH to get out of the way and the wing came over his head. PIOLI stated that he has never been arrested. He lives with his parents and is not aware of them ever being arrested. No one has ever asked him to put something on an airplane, nor has anyone asked him to give anything to a passenger. He did not put anything on flight 77/144, nor did he give anything to a passenger of flight 77. Bob Schuler, American Airlines Operations Center. Fort Worth, telephone number 817/967-6331 was contacted telephonically. After being advised of the identity of the interviewing Agent and the nature of the interview, he furnished the following information: American Airlines Operations Center employee Larry Wansley had been contacted by a company in Tennessee. This company claimed to have developed a device that could locate airline "black boxes" at crash sites. This company was offering the technology in an effort to find the "black boxes" from the airliners that crashed into the World Trade Center. Schuler contacted the company in Tennessee and determined they did not have a device that was currently operating that could locate an airline "black box". Schuler did not believe such a device would be operational in the near future.

EVANS stated that he works the ticket counter, prepares employee schedules, reviews employee time cards, and relieves other managers, as needed. EVANS advised that on Monday he parked in the East reserve lot and reported to the Main Terminal. He spent most of . the day at the ticket counter assisting ticket agents and handling paper work.
