PARISH ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING 1ST APRIL 2009 7.30 P.M. Present:

N. Gorham, T. Doran, D. Thomas, D. Richardson, A. Deveney, J. King, V. Watts, J. Smith, B. Pinto, I.Hughes, J. Ablard, Fr. Hennessy (at point 6)

1. Apologies Were received from T. Brazier, Fr. Hennessy, M. McDonald, W. Ablard. 2. Minutes of last meeting Minutes of 5th March 2009 were approved by all present. 3. Review of actions from March meeting. • Cherry Tree – on-going. • Soap dispensers – fitted and working. • Damp inside church on third arch has been located on the ceiling. D. Richardson • Diocesan Pastoral Plan – This has been completed and forwarded to the Bishop. • Welcome Pack – to be actioned W. Ablard • Parish email – to be actioned. M. Jones • Church loop system – Preliminary inspection carried out. Receiver to be moved initially to improve feed back over Easter services. - on-going. M. Jones • Sound system improvements – no update. Fr. Hennessy • Memorial Garden crucifix – no update Fr. Hennessy • Memorial Garden Pieta – no update Fr. Hennessy • Redesign of church areas – no update Fr. Hennessy/D. Richardson/T. Brazier • V. Watts proposed we look at redoing the rest of the hall floor • Trees at St. Cecelia need pruning. B. Pinto 4. Financial Report We have a current balance of £18,000 on the cheque account, much of which has already been allocated. A full Financial Statement was not possible and should take place at our next meeting.

Ann Poole is giving consideration, subject to receiving further information, to accepting the role of the parish Gift Aid co-coordinator. 5. Cambodia Correspondence received from Bishop Michael. We hope to have a decision on twinning by the end of June following Arlene Bennett’s visit to Battambang. A priest in Cambodia with good communication skills is a high priority.

6. Parish Mission Statement A proposed design for this statement, with the addition of a parish prayer, was approved Heading on statement to be worded St. Felix parish with St. Cecilia’s. N. Gorham 7. A.O.B None 8. Date of Next Meeting
