Students will have an understanding of Study and attempt questions 1-3 on p79 (RRR). the types of soldiers who fought in the Civil Wars. Study pages 82-85 (RRR). They will understand how Cromwell strengthened the army.

Resources “Renaissance, Revolution, Reformation” (Wilkes)

Study pages 86-87 (RRR) and attempt the empathy work on p87.

They will understand why Charles I was executed in 1649. Above and understand the appeal of each side to the various sections and regions of these islands. .

Complete questions 1-3 on p79 (RRR) and write a paragraph to answer the ‘Pause for Thought’ question on p78.

Above and complete questions 1-4 p85 (RRR). Above and understand the strict disciplinary regime within the New Model Above and complete the empathy work on Army. p87 (RRR). Above and understand how there was only ever going to be one verdict in the trial of Charles Stuart.
