shooting script Script: the shooting script Outline of documentary: Our documentary is about stop and search laws i.e. if they are effective and how the procedure prevents knife crime, gun crime ect. We will interview and number for people from all different backgrounds to get an even opinion of the laws, we are aiming for an overall view of the public’s opinion on stop and search laws as well as the laws opinion. We will interview the police; these will be a trainee, a sergeant and working police. We will also interview teenagers and a victim of the failure of knife crime to get an even opinion on the topic. We will get young people who have experienced the stop and search law procedure and ask them a series of questions to get a fair outcome. We will also interview a victim of the procedure that was not carried out effectively and get pictures of his injury with a voice over telling a brief version of his story. We will interview Andrew Rosendale who is a member of parliament, he will give us his opinion on stop and search laws and tell us why he thinks this. Questions asked: 1. Do you think that the stop and searches are carried out effectively by the Police. 2. Do police officers at times unfairly target members of the public, if so why? 3.Has the increasing frequency of stop and searches enabled you to feel safer on the streets, if so explain why? 4. What are the positives and the negatives of the stop and search process?

5. What could be done to improve the way stop and searches are carried out by law-enforcers? 6. What type of behaviour from a member of the public would force a police officer to stop and search them? 7. How as members of the public can we help the police in carrying out stop and search procedures. 8. Do you think the stop and search laws impose too many rules and regualtions? 9. Do you think that the stop and search laws are an invasion of public privacy? 10. When police are publicly shown up to be abusing there powers, what effect do you think this may have on the public?
