Assistant Principal’s News The school year is in full swing! The students are getting in to the daily routine and enjoying the beautiful weather during recess and PE. We were fortunate to have special guests last week, too! The Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist traveled from Ann Arbor, Michigan to visit with the students on Friday and speak at the Jump for Joy Vocation Day that took place on Sunday. The Sisters spent time in each classroom talking about their vocation and daily life. They brought small gifts for the younger students and shared a televised news report about themselves with the older classes. They explained the importance of Adoration to discerning vocations and the joy found in following God’s plan. We are truly blessed to have had the Sisters meet the students in our school. The Sisters’ presence brought a unique reverence and special kindness to the Holy Trinity community. Over the next few weeks, the school is sponsoring a Scholastic Book Fair and the Kindergarten through Eighth Grade Curriculum Night. The homeroom teachers will be providing

Booster Club Fundraiser Our Fundraiser for the Cookie Dough and Gift Wrapping has started. We are looking for every family to participate with this event. This fundraiser helps benefit the Athletic Booster Club as stated in the parent letter. I have received a few questions regarding the fundraiser. Making a direct donation to the Booster Club is a great option. For your information, on top of the prizes the students get for selling items, we have offered the students additional prizes as a school for the selling of items. They are as follows... 1. If each student from the homeroom class participates in the fundraiser, there will be an out of uniform day for the class 2. As a school, the class with the highest average sales will get a pizza party.. Then... 1. in grades PreK-4, if the class does not win the pizza party, the class with the highest average sales will get an extra recess 2. in grades 5-8, if the class does not win the pizza party, the class with the highest average sales will get a movie day We are hoping to get every family involved with this Fundraiser to help out the Booster Club and Athletic Teams. Making a donation to the Booster Club will still count towards the student’s participation in the fundraiser. All forms and donations have to be turned into the office by 9/28/09 in order to be accepted. Please make checks payable to: ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB. Also, if you HAVE NOT signed up for the Booster Club as of yet, please take the opportunity to do so. The forms will be available at the Holy Trinity Website, as well as the office at school. This is a great way to get involved now with athletics at Holy Trinity no matter the grade or age of your child.
