The vacancies reserved for Physically Handicapped, Sports Persons and Ex-Servicemen categories will be as per Rules in force. The category wise reservation for the above posts are tentative and are subject to change as per rules as would be in force at the time of short-listing/publication of result issue of appointment order. Educational Qualification: The candidate must be a Bachelors degree holder from a recognized University and must have passed Oriya equivalent to M.E. standard. 4. Age Limit: The candidates shall not be less than 21 years as on 1.1.2009 and more than 32 years as on 01.01.2007. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ST & women candidates and 3 years in case of SEBC candidates, 10 years in case of Physically Handicapped candidates and for Ex-servicemen, the period of entire admissible service rendered as per rules. Reservation:Candidates claiming reservation under any category as per Para 2 above should furnish relevant certificate issued by the competent authority in support of their claims. Plan of Examination and Selection Procedure:(A) Preliminary Examination: - 100 marks (Qualifying) - 11/ hours. 2 The preliminary test (one paper) will be on General Awareness with multiplechoice questions covering different fields of knowledge covering General Science, Indian Polity and Economy, Current events, Geography, History of India and fundamentals of English Grammar of graduation standard etc. The answer script will be in OMR form. Agreement of Training: - Before commencement of the Apprenticeship training in the designated trade, the selected candidate or, if he is a minor, his guardian has to enter into a contract of apprenticeship with the employer. 9.Medical Fitness: - Selected candidates will be engaged as Act Apprentice under Apprentices Act. 1961 & Apprenticeship Rules, 1962, .subject to the Medical Fitness to be certified by a Railway Doctor. Selection procedure: (i) The eligible candidates shall be issued Admit Card to appear in the recruitment test. The date and place of recruitment test will be indicated in Admit Card. Candidates will have to undergo the following tests: (a) Documentation :- The candidates reporting for the test have to produce original testimonials/ certificates attached by him with the application form. (b) Physical Measurement :- Candidates found eligible in documentation will be screened first for height, chest and weight measurements. Note: No separate marks will be allotted for PET. However, a candidate must qualify in all the above events. Failure to qualify in any of the above event of PET will render the candidate disqualified to appear in subsequent events. No physical efficiency test will be held-for Ex-Servicemen. However, Ex. Servicemen will be required to pass the required Driving and Technical test and requisite medical examination upon qualification of trades test. (ii) Driving/Technical Test: Maximum 50 Marks: - The candidates qualifying in the physical efficiency test will be required to appear in Driving/Technical Test of 50 marks. The Driving/Technical test will be held after PET is over. Minimum qualifying marks for trade test will be 33% marks for SC/ST/ OBC candidates and 35% for General and Ex. Servicemen. The appeal should necessarily contain the following (a) Medical reexamination fee of Rs. 25/-(Rupees twenty five) only non refundable, through a bank draft in favour of” Accounts Officer, SSB FHQ, New Delhi” Payable at SBI, R.K.Puram, New Delhi-Code-1076 or IPO in favour of Accounts Officer, SSB FHQ New Delhi (b) Appeal form 4,5 & 6 issued by the Initial Medical board declaring the candidate “as unfit (c) Fitness certificate obtained from a registered medical practitioner in Form-6 issued by the Recruitment Board, (d) One self addressed envelope with Rs.6/ - stamp affixed on it. Last Date for Application : 26/09/2009 Date of Examination : Will be informed Shortly I. Academic Qualification: Post Graduate / B.E. / B.Tech. from a college affiliated to a recognized University (Correspondence and Open Universities are not eligible) with percentage of marks as given below:

Note: Candidates who have completed any of the above said P.G Degree course in 2009 and awaiting results may also apply subject to the condition that they have to submit original of Provisional Degree Certificate at the time of joining the Bank, if selected. SC/ST Candidates should possess 50% and above in the Post Graduate degree/ B.E./B.Tech. Candidates who have obtained degree through correspondence/open university are not eligible. II. Technical Qualification: At the time of application, the non Computer Science candidates should possess a minimum three months Computer Course from a well established Institution. III Age Limit: Not more than 30 years as on 31.08.2009 (Relaxation of 5 years is allowed for SC/ST candidates) IV. Mode of Selection: Written Test (Objective Type) and Personal Interview. Examination will be held at selected centres in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Delhi. V. Exam Fees: Demand Draft for Rs.250/- (Rs.100/- for SC/ST candidates) drawn in favour of THE KARUR VYSYA BANK LIMITED and payable at CHENNAI only. The Candidates should bring the demand draft while appearing for written test. It will be collected by our invigilators in the exam hall. Note : SC / ST candidates should submit the proof for their caste while appearing for written examination. Mere eligibility will not vest any right on the candidates for being called for Written Test. Bank’s decision in the matter of selection will be final and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard. In Resume data entry providing E-mail id is mandatory. All our correspondences viz. Exam call letters, Interview call letters etc. will be sent only through E-mail and hard copy of the same will not be sent to the candidates. So kindly ensure the correctness of Email id before saving your resume. In Resume data entry, the candidates who are awaiting results has to enter the aggregate percentage of marks upto the previous semester. However the final selection will be based on aggregate percentage of marks of all semesters. If the percentage of marks is in CGPA mode, the same should be converted into equivalent percentage and entered in the resume data entry. While applying candidates are advised to note down the reference number received through mail for future correspondences. General Conditions: l Eligible candidates should appear for a written test and / or skill test and interview at their own expense at places/ dates notified by the Bank. l Candidates selected for appointment will be on Probation period for 1 year l Candidates selected are liable to be placed in any place in India as per the administrative requirements and discretion of the Bank. l If any information furnished by the candidates is found to be false/ not correct/ misrepresented, their candidature is liable to be cancelled at any stage without notice. l Mere eligibility will not vest any right on the candidates for being called for Written test / Interview.
