The vacancies reserved for Physically Handicapped, Sports Persons and Ex-Servicemen categories will be as per Rules in force. The category wise reservation for the above posts are tentative and are subject to change as per rules as would be in force at the time of short-listing/publication of result issue of appointment order. Educational Qualification: The candidate must be a Bachelors degree holder from a recognized University and must have passed Oriya equivalent to M.E. standard. 4. General eligibility of the candidate: In order to be eligible for appearing in the examination a candidate must satisfy the following conditions: He/she a) Shall be a citizen of India, b) shall possess requisite qualification(educational and age eligibility)shown at para 3 & 4 above; (c) must have passed M.E. with Oriya as a language subject or passed Matriculation or equivalent examination with Oriya as medium of examination or passed a test in Oriya at M.E.School standard conducted by the School & Mass Education Department; (d) must not have more than one spouse living, (e) shall have good moral character; (f) shall be of sound health and free from anyorganic defect or bodilydeformity. (g) must not have been debarred from appearing in any other competitive examination or holding Government Service as ordered bycompetent authority. (h) must fulfill any other conditions(s) as may be specified under relevant recruitment rule / instruction. 9. Reservation:Candidates claiming reservation under any category as per Para 2 above should furnish relevant certificate issued by the competent authority in support of their claims. In case of Sports person, candidates must possess identity cards issued by Directorate of sports Orissa. 10. Post code : The post code for LFA is 07 which should be written by the candidates at item No.8 of the application form. The abbreviated form of Local Fund Auditor is LFA. 11. Documents to be sent along with the Application form: (a) Original Treasury chalan in support of deposit of Rs.75/ -(Rupees Seventy Five) only towards Examination Fee except SC/ST candidates. (b) Self attested photocopy of Matric or equivalent certificate. (c) Self attested photocopy of Degree certificate/qualifying educational certificate for concerned post; (d) Self attested photocopy of caste certificate issued by the competent authority; (e) One unsigned recent colour photograph (3.5X4.5 Cm size) to be pasted in the space provided in the application form. Plan of Examination and Selection Procedure:(A) Preliminary Examination: - 100 marks (Qualifying) - 11/ hours. 2 The preliminary test (one paper) will be on General Awareness with multiplechoice questions covering different fields of knowledge covering General Science, Indian Polity and Economy, Current events, Geography, History of India and fundamentals of English Grammar of graduation standard etc. The answer script will be in OMR form. This examination will only be a screening test to shortlist candidates for the main examination. Marks obtained in this examination will not be counted for the final merit list. The number of candidates to be admitted to the main examination will be about 30 times of the vacancies notified for the respective category/posts or as may be decided by the Commission. B. Main Examination:- 300 marks. The main written examination will consist of four papers i.e. General English, Oriya language , General Studies & Mathematics. MODE OF SELECTION : (a) Engagement of Act Apprentices will be done only on the basis of marks obtained in the Matriculation Examination or 10th Class in the 10+2 Examination system and minimum marks of eligibility shall be kept at 50% in aggregate (excluding additional subjects) and having I.T.I. Certificate is compulsory. No extra weightage shall be granted to candidates having higher qualification. Candidates equal to 1.25 times of the number of slots for Act Apprentices shall be called for venfication of original testimonials, (b) A final merit list will be prepared equal to the number of slots in the descending order of percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in the Matriculate/10th Class in 10+2 Examination system, (c) Candidates finally enlisted would be engaged subject to being found fit in appropriate Medical Examination by Railways as applicable for the Workshop and for the other Units, (d) No daily allowance/conveyance allowance or traveling allowance will be paid to the candidate who will be called for verification, (e) No hostel accommodalion will be provided and selected candidates will have to make their own arrangement during their training as per Apprentice Act, 1961 and they will be released on completion of the training. In terms of Para-10 of Schedule V of the Apprenticeship Rules, 1991, notified on 15.7.92 by the Ministry of Labour, it shall not be obligatory on the part of the employer to offer any employment to the apprentice on completion of period of his apprenticeship training in his establishment nor shall it be obligatory on the part of the apprentice to accept an employment under the employer. Agreement of Training: - Before commencement of the Apprenticeship training in the designated trade, the selected candidate or, if he is a minor, his guardian has to enter into a contract of apprenticeship with the employer. 9.Medical Fitness: - Selected candidates will be engaged as Act Apprentice under Apprentices Act. 1961 & Apprenticeship Rules, 1962, .subject to the Medical Fitness to be certified by a Railway Doctor. The decision of the administration in regard to acceptance or otherwise of any application even without assigning any reason or in regard to selection of the candidates & their training will be final. 10. Conditions for Ex-Servicemen : For recruitment of Ex-servicemen following will be the criterion :(a) Physical standard : Total relaxation (b) Medical category: Category-A (c) Character : Exemplary/Very Good/Good (d) Break in service : Not more than 24 months (e)Education:-Matriculation or Army education should be equivalent to matriculation. (f) Age limit:- Age concession for Ex-servicemen, will be allowed in accordance with the orders issued by the Govt. of India from time to time and they will be allowed to deduct Military service from their actual age and such resultant age should not exceed the prescribed age limit by more than three years. Eligible wards (Sons) of serving/retired SSB personnel may also apply if so desired accordingly. Selection procedure: (i) The eligible candidates shall be issued Admit Card to appear in the recruitment test. The date and place of recruitment test will be indicated in Admit Card. Candidates will have to undergo the following tests: (a) Documentation :- The candidates reporting for the test have to produce original testimonials/ certificates attached by him with the application form. (b) Physical Measurement :- Candidates found eligible in documentation will be screened first for height, chest and weight measurements. Note: No separate marks will be allotted for PET. However, a candidate must qualify in all the above events. Failure to qualify in any of the above event of PET will render the candidate disqualified to appear in subsequent events. No physical efficiency test will be held-for Ex-Servicemen. However, Ex. Servicemen will be required to pass the required Driving and Technical test and requisite medical examination upon qualification of trades test. (ii) Driving/Technical Test: Maximum 50 Marks: - The candidates qualifying in the physical efficiency test will be required to appear in Driving/Technical Test of 50 marks. The Driving/Technical test will be held after PET is over. Minimum qualifying marks for trade test will be 33% marks for SC/ST/ OBC candidates and 35% for General and Ex. Servicemen. NOTE: - As the Ex-service men are exempted from PET, they will appear in Driving/Technical test directly. (iii) Medical Examination The candidates declared qualified in Driving/ Technical Test will be called for Medical Examination as per the vacancies, strictly on the basis of merit. (iv) Appeal against medical examination : If a candidate is declared unfit in the detailed medial examination, the grounds for rejection will be communicated to him by the Chairman. The rejected candidates will obtain form 4,5 and 6 from Chairman concerned , if not satisfied with the findings of the Medical Officer, to prefer an appeal for re-medical examination to the Inspector General(Pers), SSB Force HQ, R.K.Puram, New Delhi, within one month from the date of issue of communication in which the findings of the Medical Officer is communicated to the candidate. The appeal should necessarily contain the following (a) Medical reexamination fee of Rs. 25/-(Rupees twenty five) only non refundable, through a bank draft in favour of Accounts Officer, SSB FHQ, New Delhi Payable at SBI, R.K.Puram, New Delhi-Code-1076 or IPO in favour of Accounts Officer, SSB FHQ New Delhi (b) Appeal form 4,5 & 6 issued by the Initial Medical board declaring the candidate as unfit (c) Fitness certificate obtained from a registered medical practitioner in Form-6 issued by the Recruitment Board, (d) One self addressed envelope with Rs.6/ - stamp affixed on it. Certificate other than Medical Form-6 (provided by the Chairman of rectt. Board to the candidates) to submit appeal for Review Medical Examination will not be considered & rejected straightaway. Note: Candidates who have completed any of the above said P.G Degree course in 2009 and awaiting results may also apply subject to the condition that they have to submit original of Provisional Degree Certificate at the time of joining the Bank, if selected. SC/ST Candidates should possess 50% and above in the Post Graduate degree/ B.E./B.Tech. Candidates who have obtained degree through correspondence/open university are not eligible. II. Technical Qualification: At the time of application, the non Computer Science candidates should possess a minimum three months Computer Course from a well established Institution. III Age Limit: Not more than 30 years as on 31.08.2009 (Relaxation of 5 years is allowed for SC/ST candidates) IV. Mode of Selection: Written Test (Objective Type) and Personal Interview. Examination will be held at selected centres in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Delhi. V. Exam Fees: Demand Draft for Rs.250/- (Rs.100/- for SC/ST candidates) drawn in favour of THE KARUR VYSYA BANK LIMITED and payable at CHENNAI only. The Candidates should bring the demand draft while appearing for written test. It will be collected by our invigilators in the exam hall. Note : SC / ST candidates should submit the proof for their caste while appearing for written examination. Mere eligibility will not vest any right on the candidates for being called for Written Test. Banks decision in the matter of selection will be final and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard. In Resume data entry providing E-mail id is mandatory. All our correspondences viz. Exam call letters, Interview call letters etc. will be sent only through E-mail and hard copy of the same will not be sent to the candidates. So kindly ensure the correctness of Email id before saving your resume. In Resume data entry, the candidates who are awaiting results has to enter the aggregate percentage of marks upto the previous semester. However the final selection will be based on aggregate percentage of marks of all semesters. If the percentage of marks is in CGPA mode, the same should be converted into equivalent percentage and entered in the resume data entry. While applying candidates are advised to note down the reference number received through mail for future correspondences. General Conditions: l Eligible candidates should appear for a written test and / or skill test and interview at their own expense at places/ dates notified by the Bank. l Candidates selected for appointment will be on Probation period for 1 year l Candidates selected are liable to be placed in any place in India as per the administrative requirements and discretion of the Bank. l If any information furnished by the candidates is found to be false/ not correct/ misrepresented, their candidature is liable to be cancelled at any stage without notice. l Mere eligibility will not vest any right on the candidates for being called for Written test / Interview.
