Neuroscience Communications and Outreach Office Intern • Review daily media mentions, analyze PR trends, and compile monthly and annual reports for the Ford School via Meltwater software Medical Scribe • Document the SOAP (subject, object, assessment, and plan) note in patients’ personal electron medical record, allowing physicians to focus on patient care Student Volunteer: Inpatient Psychiatry Unit, Emergency Department, & Trauma Burn Unit • Assist nurses and physicians by talking to patients and providing company, restocking and organizing equipment, and providing a general helpinghand which allows nurses and physicians to focus on patient care Student Advisory Council Member/Alternative Spring Break Chair • Delegate responsibilities within the student board in order to facilitate interests, encourage collaboration, cultivate high levels of motivation, access necessary resources, and make decisions for the Global Scholars community • Plan, budget, fundraise, and coordinate an alternative spring break trip to New Orleans, LA to restore wetlands with Common Ground Relief Research Assistant • Assist postdoctoral researchers and graduate students in experimental treatments of in vivo and in vitro models • Maintain genotypic records of the lab’s mouse population, roughly 400 mice, via gel electrophoresis • Prepare stock and working solutions, clean and organize equipment, and educate incoming research assistants about laboratory protocols Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow
