There are two things I learned in this activity: One, is that the Periodic Table has these horizontal divisions called Periods. And two, is that you should really listen to what your teacher said. When my friend Rebecca chose me to be part of her group – Period four – I was happy. I was excited on what we will do today in Science. Unfortunately, when I looked at the assigned period for our group, I was shocked. There were many elements in this period, how will we put all of those in colored papers in such a short period of time? But we wasted no time to cut and divide the colored papers. Nagdududa talaga ako about writing the whole elements, so we asked the group beside us. She said that we will only write four, so that’s what we did. By the time we’re about to put the elements on the board, Ms. Dones said that where are the other elements; why is it bungi-bungi. That’s where we learned that all of the elements on the assigned period must be written. In this incident, we learned to listen carefully to the teacher’s instruction and if in doubt, ask the teacher directly. In short, our period had the messiest outcome – uneven edges and handwriting is not that good. But at least we learned something in this activity and rest assured in the next upcoming activities, we will listen carefully. Below is a picture of VIII - Fleming’s Own Periodic Table
