Process of collecting the data
In order to collect the data, first we determined what data that might be useful for this project. Since our purpose is to develop a syllabus, we thought that we need to see the teachers’ documents for teaching in the class. We also thought that we need to see some samples of students works to determine the students difficulties. Luckily, the teacher kindly helped us and lenr us the documents we need to be copied. Otherd data we collected the data of the students perception toward the recent materials instruction and their learning needs and the teacher perceptions toward the recent syllabus and their students resposes. The deeper qualitative data were gathered through interview. In this case we interviewed Ms...... as the English teacher there. From the interview we collected data related to.....,......,........ from the interview we know that.......,.......,....... Next is the quantitative data which was done through distributing questionnaires. Since there are .... clasess for grade 8, we decided to distribute the questionnaire to 3 classes to represent the population. We collected the data from the questionnaire on 18 march 2019. The class that we gathered the data were 8f,8g and 8?. in order to get honest resposes from the students, we decided to enter the class and told them that their resposes are kept secretly. Moreover, since the questionnaire includes many points we decided to guide the students while doing the questionnaire. We offered some helps so that they would be able to ask questions. From the process of collecting the data, we had ....students that returned the questionnaire.
