VETERANS FOR CONGRESS

I pledge allegiance To the flag Of the United States Of America And to the Republic For which it stands, One nation under God, Indivisible,

With Liberty And Justice For all.

I Promise to be faithful and true (Promise my loyalty) to the emblem that stands for and represents all 50 states, each of them individual, and individually represented on the flag yet formed into a UNION of one Nation. And I also pledge my loyalty to the Government that is itself a Republic, a form of government where the PEOPLE are sovereign, this government also being represented by the Flag to which I promise loyalty. These 50 individual states are united as a single Republic under the Divine providence of God, "our most powerful resource" (according to the words of President Eisenhower) and can not be separated. (This part of the original version of the pledge was written just 50 years after the beginning of the Civil War and demonstrates the unity sought in the years after that divisive period in our history) The people of this Nation being afforded the freedom to pursue "life, liberty, and happiness", And each person entitled to be treated justly, fairly, and according to proper law and principle, And these principles afforded to EVERY AMERICAN, regardless of race, religion, color, creed, or any other criteria. Just as the flag represents 50 individual states that can not be divided or separated, this Nation represents millions of people who can not be separated or divided.

TRANSLATION OF LIBERTY Liberty translates into 1. Liberal 2. Libertarian 3. Liberalism The Statue of Liberty is a symbol that reflects America as the Land of Liberty. For us to serve as one nation under God indivisible, we must each share the view of liberalism.

SYNONYM OF LIBERTY Freedom is a synonym of liberty.

ANTONYM OF LIBERTY Slavery is an antonym of liberty.

UNION ARMY The early Republican Party of the Northern States espoused liberalism. The American Flag was flown to symbolize our United States Constitution (USC). Libertarians had united as one nation for the cause to abolish slavery. General Ulysses S. Grant has organized our Union Army to liberate slaves of our Southern States.

CONFEDERATE ARMY The early Democratic Party of the Southern States espoused conservatism. The Confederate Flag was flown to symbolize the Articles of Confederation (AOC). Conservatives had united as one nation for the cause to preserve slavery. General Robert E. Lee has organized the Rebel Army to secede from our Union.

AMERICAN CIVIL WAR The American Civil War has served as a contest to decide whether America will be lead by the Libertarian philosophical viewpoint of our Northern States or the Conservative philosophical viewpoint of our Southern States. The North has defeated the South.

GETTYSBURY ADDRESS Republican President Abraham Lincoln has delivered his State of the Union Address at Gettysburg. His message has affirmed that America is a new nation conceived in Liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. The brave men who have lived and/or died on the battlefield have consecrated America as hallow grounds. Government of the people, for the people and by the people shall not perish. Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this. But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicate -- we can not consecrate -- we can not hallow -- this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us -- that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion -- that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain -- that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom -- and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.

MUSEUM OF AMERICAN HISTORY Conservatism belongs in a museum of American history. Its philosophical view has been defeated and buried on the battlefield at Gettysburg. Loyalists of the Confederate Flag have resurrected the rebirth of conservatism in America. Traitors to our Pledge of Allegiance have inflamed hatred and division among our Union. Conservatives are guilty of high treason.
