1. INTRODUCTION ABOUT OBESITY Obesity is an abnormal accumulation of body fat, usually 20% or more over an individual's ideal body weight. Obesity is associated with increased risk of illness, disability, and death. The most commonly used measure of weight status today is the Body Mass Index or BMI

BMI is a more accurate measure of someone's obesity than weight because it also incorporates the individual's height 6
2. CAUSES OF OBESITY Poor diet: -Eating large amounts of processed or fast food -Drinking too many sugary drinks -Comfort eating

CAUSES OF OBESITY Lack of physical activity -Many people have jobs that involve sitting at a desk for most of the day. -They also rely on their cars, rather than walking or cycling. -For relaxation, many people tend to watch TV, browse the internet or play computer games, and rarely take regular exercise. 8

-Some people claim there's no point trying to lose weight because "it runs in my family" or "it's in my genes". -In many cases, obesity is more to do with environmental factors, such as poor eating habits learned during childhood

4. SOLUTIONS -Exercise: Start off with simple exercises. -A healthy diet: If possible, avoid food with calories. Eat more raw fruits and vegetables. Cut down meat intake, but not completely. -Professionals: Seek for their advice. I’m sure professional dietitians can help you out
