Pastoral Responsibility

Mandarin Congregational Pastoral Calling Congregational Pastor’s Responsibilities: (1) The CCAC Mandarin Congregational Pastor shall be accountable to CCAC Senior Pastor. (2) Pastor is responsible for shepherding and caring for the CCAC Mandarin congregation, fully provides their spiritual needs, and family counseling. Pastor shall lead and coordinate care and visitation (relationship building, crisis and grief counseling, hospital and nursing homes). (3) Pastor is responsible for planning all the CCAC Mandarin congregation programs, actively guiding the progress; make sure that all ministry tasks are carried out; work with the Elders to promote church growth and spiritual growth of the congregation. Every November/December shall present plans for the next year during the MMT monthly meeting. (4) Pastor shall emphasize in church evangelism and outreach to the community. He shall develop new membership programs and fellowship activities within the congregation and actively participate in expanding our active membership (5) Pastor shall supervise all Mandarin congregation ministry units of the church, serves as chairman of the MMT. He is also a member of the Governing Board and represents his Ministry at the Governing Board. (6) Pastor shall encourage short and long term missions either in the States or abroad. (7) Pastor shall instill the value of prayer in the congregation and ensure that prayer is central to all aspects of worship, ministry, and administration. (8) Pastor shall develop spiritual leaders. (9) Pastor and Elders shall meet monthly to discuss ministry affairs or problems. In October of each year the Elders shall evaluate the year’s accomplishments. (10) Other than vacation time and when attending conference, Pastor shall preside at a total of forty-four Sundays at church (including being sent out by the church), and shall not give sermon two consecutive Sundays at other churches. (11) Pastor should have regular office hours at the church office in order to be accessible for the congregation. He shall have one day off each week.
