Ultra-High Performance Four-Channel Audio ADC Features Low Latency Delivers up to 123dB dynamic range with -110dB THD+N at a very short group delay The AK5388 is designed for multi-channel audio applications that require very high performance. However, the low cost per channel makes this part suitable as an upgrade for customers looking to improve system performance. The combination of wide dynamic performance and a high sampling rate, up to 216KHz, also makes the AK5388 attractive for industrial and instrumentation applications. In stereo mode (two total channels), the SNR and dynamic range improve to 123dB, with the calculations performed on the chip instead of requiring an external DSP. When more than four channels are required in a system, two AK5388’s can be linked using the TDM interface mode. Another key feature is low latency (group delay), increasingly demanded by live sound applications. AKM’s minimal-phase FIR filter technology makes possible the combination of low phase distortion and very low latency, at 12.6/fs. Within AKM’s high performance ADC product offerings, the AK5388 is positioned between the 114dB AK5385B and the very high performance 123dB AK5394. In price per channel, the AK5388 is only slightly more than the AK5385B.

Complete Solution for Developing a PCI Express Endpoint Application The GN4124 is a four lane PCI Express-to-local bus endpoint bridge that is designed to work as a companion for FPGA devices to provide a complete bridging solution for general applications. In addition to a 4-lane PCI Express compliant PHY interface, the GN4124 also contains the link and transaction layers, and an applications interface that is ideally suited to FPGA interfacing using a small number of pins.

Live on Power-up Since the GN4124 contains a complete type 0 PCI configuration space, it is live on power-up so that a plug-and-play BIOS can auto-detect it and enumerate it without an attached FPGA having to be configured. FPGA On-the-Fly Configuration Loader An FPGA configuration bitstream may be downloaded from the host system over PCIe to the attached FPGA using the on-chip FPGA Configuration Loader (FCL). This eliminates the expense of a dedicated FPGA ROM and makes on-the-fly reconfiguration and firmware upgrades simple. Any application requiring dynamic reconfiguration or firmware upgrades over PCIe can benefit from the use of the GN4124 as a companion device regardless of the size or type of FPGA device used. Local Bus Interface The local bus interface uses dual data rate SSTL I/O to accomplish very high data rates using the fewest possible pins. A single data rate clock is used for SSTL control signals and separate dual data rate source synchronous clocking is used for the DDR SSTL data. The SDR control signals operate at up to 200MHz and the DDR I/O operate at up to 400MT/s across 16 bits using a 200MHz DDR clock. This provides 800MB/s in each direction. Cost Free IP Gennum provides a complete solution around the GN4124 to accelerate your design cycle. This includes full documentation, an evaluation board with schematics, FPGA local bus interface IP, example FPGA application code, driver software, and example application software – all provided in source format. All source code is provided cost/royalty free for use with the GN4124. Single Lane Version Available For applications that don’t require the full performance of the GN4124, the GN4121 is a lower cost single lane version. It features the same local bus interface only operating at lower frequency. Synchronous Step-Down Regulator Delivers 5A from a 4mm x 4mm QFN
LTC3605 - a high efficiency, 15V, 4MHz synchronous buck regulator that uses a constant frequency controlled on-time, current mode architecture. The LTC®3605 is a high efficiency, monolithic synchronous buck regulator using a phase lockable controlled on-time constant frequency, current mode architecture. PolyPhase operation allows multiple LTC3605 regulators to run out of phase while using minimal input and output capacitance. The operating frequency is programmable from 800kHz to 4MHz with an external resistor. The high frequency capability allows the use of small surface mount inductors. For switching noise sensitive applications, it can be externally synchronized from 800kHz to 4MHz. The PHMODE pin allows user control of the phase of the outgoing clock signal. The unique constant frequency/controlled ontime architecture is ideal for high step-down ratio applications that are operating at high frequency while demanding fast transient response. Two internal phase-lock loops synchronize the internal oscillator to the external clock and also servos the regulator on-time to lock on to either the internal clock or the external clock if it’s present. The LTC3605 uses internal N-channel switches with RDS(ON)s of only 35mΩ and 70mΩ to deliver efficiencies as high as 96%. Its low minimum on-time allows low duty cycle operation at high switching frequencies. The LTC3605’s PolyPhase® operation (up to 12 phases) allows multiple regulators to be cascaded, running out of phase to minimize input and output capacitance. Current mode operation offers fast transient response while simplifying compensation. Additional features include output tracking and a shutdown current of only 15µA. The LTC3605EUF is available in a 4mm x 4mm QFN-24. Pricing starts at $4.25 each in 1,000-piece quantities

ACS758 High-Current, High-Temperature, Hall-Effect-Based Linear Current Sensor Next Generation, 120 kHz Bandwidth, 50-200 A Current Sensor with 100 µΩ, Integrated Current Conductor for Reduced Power Loss
The ACS758 family of current sensors provides economical and precise solutions for AC or DC current sensing. Typical applications include motor control, load detection and management, power supply and DC-to-DC converter control, inverter control, and over-current fault detection. The device consists of a precise, low-offset linear Hall sensor circuit with a copper conduction path located near the Hall sensor die. Applied current flowing through this copper conduction path generates a magnetic field which is sensed by the integrated Hall IC and converted into a proportional voltage. Device accuracy is optimized through the close proximity of the magnetic signal to the Hall transducer, and through the integration of a high performance ferromagnetic core into Allegro’s custom CB package. A precise, proportional voltage is provided by the lowoffset, chopper-stabilized BiCMOS Hall IC, which is programmed for accuracy at the factory. High level immunity to current conductor dV/dt and stray electric fields, offered by Allegro proprietary integrated shield technology, guarantees low output ripple and low offset drift in high-side, high voltage applications. The output of the device has a positive slope (>VCC / 2) when an increasing current flows through the primary copper conduction path (from terminal 4 to terminal 5), which is the path used for current sensing. The internal resistance of this conductive path is 100 μΩ typical, providing low power loss. The thickness of the copper conductor allows survival of the device at up to 5x over-current conditions. The terminals of the conductive path are electrically isolated from the sensor leads (pins 1 through 3). This allows the ACS758 family of sensors to be used in applications requiring electrical isolation without the use of opto-isolators or other costly isolation techniques. The device is fully calibrated prior to shipment from the factory. The ACS758 family is lead (Pb) free. All leads are plated with 100% matte tin, and there is no Pb inside the package. The heavy gauge leadframe is made of oxygen-free copper.
